Re: rock/synth song- how is mix and song?

I loved the song and kind of agree with the person above about some of the sounds. They sound kind of digital and soft synth to me. I don't think they necessarily need ditched though, maybe just dirtied up. Not sure what gear you have at your disposal but if you could kind of reamp those sounds it m...

Re: Alesis are making the first ever MIDI Keytar

Anyone really wanting a keytar should strap a moog liberation on for 30 minutes. Then, once blood has returned to both arms, write what they liked about it... :D

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

This is fantastic. If it ran on batteries ala SH-101 it would be perfect. Defo at the top of my want list.
Agreed. I am a sucker for battery powered gear, yeah, usually I just use the wall wart buts its great that I can just slap it on my lap with some headphones and Im good to go.

Re: What was your first Moog?

I would agree. Just having the power supply build was incredible enough. I absolutely LOVE my liberation. The prodigy is nice and I enjoy the edge it brings but the liberation is one of the best performance synths I've ever played. The after touch is awesome, the flexibility is great, its a very und...

Re: What was your first Moog?

My first Moog is an interesting story. I had a friend with a Liberation. He loaned it to a band mate who left it in his car after a gig and the power supply got stolen (for those who don't know the liberation is the keytar with a large external power supply that also has all the ins and outs). As so...

That video on how to filter without the osc is awesome. I never thought of that. Thanks for sharing.

Re: list of synths with cv/gate out

The moog liberation has cv/s-trigger out? Not sure if you are counting that. Its easy to convert to gate.

Battery Powered Music.

http://blackdiscoball.bandcamp.com/album/battery-vol-one So here is a link to a new album I just finished. Its titled "Battery" because instrument/device used was battery powered. It has a lot of Korg Monotribe but also lots of casio instruments, homemade synths and noise makers, things like that. I...

Re: How do I use an MS 10?

Not trying to be smart, just saying. You are the one who wanted know how to use it, then said you really don't care for the synth, etc. What do you want to hear?

Not every synth works well for every person. Time to sell it and move on to another synth that fits you better i guess...

Re: cz3000

If the problem is the memory card, I have one (don't know if its a 3) but mine had a battery in it that corroded an wouldn't work. I took it apart, cleaned the terminals, and then it worked and would save again. As far as my 3000 it always defaults to the factory presets when it looses power. Is you...

Re: Can anyone offer some insight on how to synthesize this

The 106 only has one env. filter that it shares between vca and vcf. You can invert the env. going to the filter and maybe get that sound. Ill have to mess around on my 106 and see. I would think filter sweeping by hand would be the easiest since you can do it on any synth with a knob.

Re: Can anyone offer some insight on how to synthesize this

It sounds like hes just holding the note, and then slowly moving the filter cutoff up by hand. Thats how I would do it.

I ordered one and the Sweetwater rep called and said to expect it late Dec? That was a while ago so things might have changed.
