^what he said. I'm slowly drifting to the dark side of cynicism and saying "anyone willing to spend that much can't possibly care about creating music"

Re: DSI party
I always found poly chaining slightly irritating. I can't substantiate that claim with real life evidence  but my experience was not ideal iirc. Straight up poly isn't a big deal but programming splits and all that fun stuff gets cumbersome fast. I found I needed different voices much more than...

Re: Synthesizers.com system
it's important in the realm of "I'm going to go modular" to understand that there's actually very little a well designed modular system CAN'T do when compared to even poly synths. With proper use of a tuner, filter bank, delays, etc, you can program harmonies easily. If you want to make big, flowy, ...

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
The Syrinx is a very unique synth because of the filter section. There are 2 resonant band pass filters and a 24 dB lowpass filter which you can change the routing. There's also a very cool touch pad which can control pitch bend and modulation. There is no other synth I can think of that has a filt...

designed by roy gwinn of "gristleizer" fame. how 'bout that! 8-) http://analogue-heaven.1065350.n5.nabble.com/Selidor-Synth-td27781.html#a27867893 ^although, my best guess is he probably sold pcbs/panels and so this could be a homebrew mess. "could" being the key word.... edit: I feel the need...

Is it just me or is this a steal? $1000 for a rhodes mk2 73 in good shape and a viscount op-6 that may/may not need work.

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
It looks like its at least mostly a yamaha ce20. I found that after googling the "symphonic modulation" label shown on one of the pcbs. Not that I know what the insides of a ce20 are supposed to look like, but it seems strange to me that the voice boards are all on single sided circuit boards or ver...

Re: New Novation Bass Station?
2 osc +sub.
Noise
Ring modulation
Two filters, one of which is a diode ladder....
2 env
2 Lfo
Arp
Seq
I can't wait until all these synths start hitting the used market. The feature set at price point makes this sound like the most fun mono synth out. No cv/gate is a bummer though.

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
But the question is: can you live without an obscure cartoon network comedy/anime reference?
I, on the other hand, can definitely live without a vintage (see: "old" ) ms-20 priced even a diminutive amount of any nation's currency over what a brand new one fresh off the production line would cost.

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
you got the wrong code there, you want the item number from the listing located in the top right corner of the actual content of the listing just below the pricing and seller information.
