Re: Roland Connect - Countdown!
Yup, on eBay, click 'Musical Instruments'. Buy ROLAND items has been the first thing in the header bar for god knows how long. Connect isn't sounding too synthy either, knowing roland's naming systems but you never know. I'd say at the moment it's like a lottery, and it's never us that win. It's goi...

Re: Yamaha FB-01 vs other FM models
Funnily enough, i just got one on ebay this morning :) It's very similar (same chip, but inconsistent controls and incompatible patches) with the DX-100 and DX-21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-mp8GL2Z-0 Now this guy is obviously some kind of wizard, but from what i've learned today download Stee...

Re: Korg Prophecy In A Coma
Never mind, managed to rescue it by forcing another sysex bank into it in it's dormant state. Still, could someone else familiar with the prophecy give me the exact settings they use in MIDIOX/other programs for loading banks on to the prophecy please? Would be greatly appreciated. Spoke too soon, i...

Korg Prophecy In A Coma
So, earlier i backed up my prophecy to MIDI ox. Trying to load some new banks in with MIDI ox proved very problematic, ranging from nonsense text and crashing to doing nothing and so forth, but at least i could still go into global and do factory load. Fast forward to a few minutes ago, trying to lo...

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?
Got a Viscount BX-10 Midi organ for 25 quid. Well worth it for oversized novelty midi controller action (pedals too).
For actual synth, just got an M1R for 105. Bless you, vague eBay descriptions.

Re: reese dubstep bass
I hate it how now apparently (according to "them") everything that ever used LFO modulation is some kind of dubstep... and everything that has a snare on the 3rd quarter is now considered owned by "them"... Oh aye, tis a bugger. Can't put a half speed drum section in any electronic track without so...

Re: reese dubstep bass
Example of accidental/foreshadowing dubstep from oddball genius Mr Oizo in 1999. Check 1.19+, tis hard.
