Re: Korg Delta - opinions please?

It won't emulate the rich ensemble sounds of other stringers, but that's not everything - sometimes you want s...

Re: Have synthesizers Improved in 35 years?
Oh I don't know about that, it's not unusual to see some bits of original gear gracing the rigs of those, shall we say, more experienced acts. As long as they get a decent service now and again a lot of that vintage stuff can still soldier on. The keyboards do ok too.

Re: Moog model D reissue
I think I remember a while back ol' Señor Doty saying that it's stoopid to talk about Model Ds since the first three were prototypes and not commercially produced. but then, he says a lot of stuff... http://hallofthewendigo.informe.com/forum/images/smilies/hmn.gif That quote attributed to me was not...

Re: Moog model D reissue
What was the general consensus vis-a-vis the system 55 reissue? They were supposedly faithful to the design of the originals.

Oh wow, this is a godsend. Hopefully will pave the way for a few other reissues. Expensive business though, so fingers crosed.

Re: WTB: S10430 Divider
^Just finishing ordering one from them. Thanks to the strong pound it still works out a fair bit cheaper even accounting for P&P and presumably 20% import VAT. I would say case closed but... it looks like I'll need a replacement 10K Linear slider for the synthesiser section. If anyone's got one or k...

Re: Yamaha CP30, troubleshooting output noise
Oh wow, I had a chance on one of these last year but I changed my mind. Kinda glad I did now!
Looks like it uses a lot of tantalum caps in what I assume are the individual keying circuits for each section. Worth replacing the six associated with the dead keys and see if that helps.
