Re: Restarting the Fizmo Project

This is great! I was afraid that after the Solaris showed up, the Fizmo project would get put on hold. I'm totally incapable of contributing anything, except I am excited for every single update.

Re: roland jx8p automation in ableton live

With Live 7, it's impossible. It's only possible in Live 8 with Max for Live, if the envelopes are CC. If they are sysex parameters, you are SOL because sysex is filtered out in Live and not supported.

I've decided, wavetable it is. Thanks for everything guys! If you're going for wavetable, why not consider the Waldorf Blofeld? I own a K5000S and Razor. Re: big funk cabaret voltaire

It could be a DX7, but I kind of doubt it. They weren't big fans of digital synths, and that doesn't really sound like one to me. It's most likely a Roland of some kind. I can't say that for sure, but I know they were into using Roland gear. It's most likely an SH-09, which they used extensively ar...

Re: Formant/Vocal filter?

The Kawai K5000 has a 128-band formant filter. There are some good built-in formant curves, but the ability to adjust the amplitude of each band is kind of insane. There's no audio in, however, if that's what you're looking for.
