Re: Gear Trading Thread
HAVE: Roland TR-606 - turns on, programming and writing works fine, but on playback some sounds can be dirty and occasionally introduces drum sounds that weren't programmed, ghost notes, etc.. Cosmetically OK, some discolouration on the back of the unit. It certainly functions well enough to sample ...

Re: Korg Poly-800 barely audible volume
Over a year later and I've got a new question related to the Poly-800. See OP, I've updated it with the new issue.

Re: Using universal AC-DC adaptors?
Hmm. Well, I could order the exact Korg adaptor off eBay... but is it possible that I fried the power input/popped a resistor or something (I'm not very good with terminology). Don't want to waste money if it won't work. Would it be easy to tell if something was amiss if I opened up the synth to loo...

Re: Using universal AC-DC adaptors?
I used the AC/DC adaptor, set it to 9v and put on the negative tip. It worked fine for awhile but then the power flickered and cut out. Now it doesn't power on at all when I plug it in, but works just fine when I unplug it and run it off the batteries.
Any ideas as to what could be going on?

Korg Poly-800 barely audible volume
UPDATE: Posted this thread a long time ago. I let my Poly-800 fall to the wayside as I got distracted by other gear. Pulled it out of the closet the other day, turned it on and discovered that the volume/output was barely audible, no matter what patch I selected. I tried turning the volume of each p...
