Re: What was your first Moog?
That is super freakin cool. Especially the hand-written patch notes from Bob Moog.

Re: What are your recording OCD's
My only OCD is having a tidy workspace. If the area I am working in is not in some kind of logical order, I find it impossible to do anything until I have tidied it up

Re: Moog new "Little Secret"
Buy an iPad. I am so not kidding. Just to get an idea of how good this might be - would you say that this app is worth the cost of buying an ipad for? Cause I have been wanting one for a while but i have been waiting for a really good excuse to get one. I've seen a lot of music apps that are really...

Re: OMG Interfaces...
I have a Fast Track Ultra and I would say stay away from it. The pres sound pretty good and it does the job pretty well, but the build quality is quite poor. I've been through three of them on warranty cause things kept breaking. I've used MOTU interfaces before (not the ultralite, but some of the o...

I'd probably call it trip-hop.

Re: Melos Echo Chamber
The tapes are the same as a Univox tape delay, which i have found for around $50.
I checked out that El Capistan, looks pretty good. It might be wiser for me to spend a bit more on something that will work and won't require any maintenance. Thanks!

Re: Which synth is this? Larry Dunn in the studio
Thanks LWG! I thought it was a Minimoog from the sound, but I couldn't really see it.
I have been listening to EWF since I was really little so Larry Dunn has always been one of my favourites

Melos Echo Chamber
I have the opportunity to grab a Melos Echo Chamber for AU$110. It does not have a tape cartridge with it and the seller has no idea whether is works or not. I've heard one before and it's no Space Echo, but it's still a really nice sounding tape delay. http://pics.ricardostatic.ch/2_644639156_450/g...

Which synth is this? Larry Dunn in the studio
Larry Dunn of Earth Wind and Fire recording a solo for Foley's debut album Motown. The video quality is pretty bad, so I can't quite make out what keyboard he is playing! It is from '92

Re: Stores with Used/Vintage Keyboards
In Melbourne there is Synth Service Melbourne which is more of a service center, but they usually have 3 or 4 synths for sale. There is also the Music Swop Shop which often has some cool stuff in its Keybooard section.
