Re: I'd love a Roland Boutiuqe Vocoder Plus reissue...
As far as vocoder, I'd love to see something like that. Especially if it had a simple step sequencer onboard. I am kind of sad about a lot of Roland stuff because it is just so not analog. Am I the only person that didn't like the 'boutique' line? I tried them all out. The JX3 was the least objectio...

Re: New to Eurorack, what are 'must haves'
One thing, if I was going to do my purchases over would be to get something like the 4MS QCD instead of the RCD and SCM. Though I am not sure they even offer the QCD as a kit? I also kind of broke my rule about 'kits only' a couple weeks ago and picked up a Waldorf NW1. That thing just sounds too si...

Re: eurorack/lunchbox questions
more or less, however the power supply is 12v +/- so you are effectively limited to a bit less than 12v. Usually you would us some type of logic module like an integrator or comparator to combine functions. Or my favorite is to use on LFO to CV another LFO. But part of the beauty is that you can sen...

Besides, Roland's marketing is often full of hot air.

Re: Roland Boutique
I gotta agree, the 606/303 just scream to be re-issued. It would be a super easy product to make using emulation, and cram them both into one box that harkens back to the futuristic silver case from the 80's. Never going to happen. It would sell too well. Genius idea! http://medias.audiofanzine.com...

Re: Roland Boutique
I guess I missed the part about ACB. I suppose I thought they had just used SMT to stuff an actual analog 4 voice in a tiny box. If it's just emulation does it really matter if it's from Roland or not? It still is not the real deal. Not as if you can't fit real analog into something that small. The ...

Re: Muffwiggler, can you log in?
yeah, it is back to normal now.
Still I read about CloudFlare and AnonSec in ARs and a few more mainstream news sources.
The next day a site I visit regularly is replaced by a CloudFlare error page for half the day.
Red flags go up.

Re: Muffwiggler, can you log in?
yeah, not sure that is the case here. I'm a web dev/IT guy myself. My stuff is pretty legit. I think I'd be having probs with some other sites as well from both my computers.
Hopefully this isn't a repeat of the last outage.

interesting. I wonder if this is geographically specific. I noticed the error page says Newark, which I assume is the one in NJ.

Muffwiggler, can you log in?
Looks like Muffs is having an issue with it's forums/website not loading. Reading between the lines, I wonder if it is actually Cloudflare which is the problem. Anonymous/AnonSec has recently been making a stink about CloudFlare being a DOS attack prevention platform that also happens to service som...

Re: New to Eurorack, what are 'must haves'
Just another update. I've almost a whole row of Synthrotek now. I really dig how Steve is carving out a niche for himself by putting out basic modules instead of whacky wtf does that even do modules. The MST (Mattson-Synthrotek) stuff is pretty solid too. I've also been jumping in on a few of the DI...

Re: Waldorf Streichfett
Picked up a Streichfett used on CL a few weeks back. I am really liking it, especially once I got a template set up in my Novation SL MKII so that I can change params on the fly without reaching over to the box. The only complaint I have is that there is not a separate out for strings and solo voice...
