Re: Moog new "Little Secret"
I'd be interested if it was a program for controlling moog hardware. 14-bit CC faders preprogrammed for the Voyager, Phatties, midi murf, and clusterflux lot's O' midi LFOs and Envelopes with a sequencer to automated parameter changes but with no usb port, I doubt that's what it is I can fairly con...

Re: JSynthLib
You'd have to dissect the sounddiver editor with the Fizmo connected and figure out each code - it would take a while - I doubt someone would bother putting the time into the project for free Okay, but I dont see the point in nitpicking and focusing on one small thing that would be hard to implemen...

Re: JSynthLib
I doubt it will supply access to the fizmos hidden parameters - at least not the first time around I don't understand your point tbh. If the NRPN values to access those hidden parameters are known, then it can be supported, as long as someone does the code for a Fizmo editor. Are they known at pres...

Re: Gear Envy.
...and when I see that first pic I'm 100,000,000 x more interested in the girl than any of that gear. Careful, you'll soon realize that lust for that goes too- when you get that 'perfect set up'. You know, doing more with less, er so to speak. :? That girl would appear to be Casey Desmond. I did a ...

Re: Gear Envy.
Ultimately it's the sound designer who's in control, not the machine. I think I've mentioned this vid before, but in context of this thread I'll insert it again.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycmgjZLU0xQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TANN6Q26HOo Your demo and screensaver are extremely impressive...

Re: Whatever happened to knobby VA's?
Minimalist design seems to be the hype at the moment in the world of electronics. And obviously the cheaper cost is a very important factor. Since software is taking over, Manufacturers seem to be going along the route of a minimal control interface, integrated with a Software Editor - The M-Audio V...

Re: What makes a good Synth Sound Comparison Demo?
Thanks for the suggestions gordwiebe! The synths I'll be comparing are the Alesis Ion and the Novation KS-4. A guy on the Alesis Ion Yahoo User Group was asking if they sounded much different, and since I have both close by, I said why not! It will give me a bit more practice at video editing anyway...

Re: What makes a good Synth Sound Comparison Demo?
I plan on having 2 (software) oscilliscopes in the video showing the signal from each synth side by side. The idea is to try to apply the same level of modulation between both synths as best I can. I will use a sequencer so that the same sequence of notes, and modulation depths are used for a fair c...

What makes a good Synth Sound Comparison Demo?
Howdy! :) I received a request recently to make a Sound Comparison Video Demo of 2 synths that I own. So I ask you, people of vintagesnyth, what would you like to see in such a video? Is there any sound comparison demos that you like out there, audio clips or video? I understand that these videos ca...

Thanks for posting this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n6og3MrInM The first track sounds something like you would throw on for d'wife to get jiggy too! ;) Knowing you though, you've probably composed one of your own for her, I can picture you now jumping around the bedroom with a KX-5 to get her ...
