Re: Synths used by 2 Unlimited

(necroposter in thread :o )

Am I correct assuming the synth in music video for "Get Ready for This" is a Casio CZ-1?

Re: Korg Legacy Collection Updated!

Upgrade from KLC to a "no-Odyssey" version is $0, to the full version - $49.99.
It's a bit of mess with migration/upgrade coupons, but nothing unusual.

Re: Are software synths disposable instruments?

I will dearly miss my Legacy Cell (quite handy macro control over the loaded synths, in effect, - similar to Massive).

Re: atn: Wind players

I'd think there would be some initial period: since the moment you provide the airflow into your "tube model input opening", and until the pressure wavefront reaches the end of the tubing. Then it would stabilize into something steadily self-oscillating, with constant airflow and equal pressure thro...

Spot on!
I'd be curious to listen to your interpretations of Angel 07 - or Captain Right. Or maybe even of the Silent Warrior.

Re: Korg Radias in rack

Is there maybe anything like a generic "tiltable" rack adapter that would allow rotating the unit? I mean the kind of those native rack ears that come with the V-synth XT.

Re: Wavestation Hardware vs. Wavestation Software Synths

Well the M1 with all the extra cards included and the filter control added is useful, to say the least.
The rest is rather a matter of taste - I'm no big fan of Korg's analog emulations...they do sound good, but to me the respective iPad versions come more handy.

Re: What is your go to tone?

Any "rubbery" FM bass. Usually it comes punchy enough in the bass range, and synthy enough in the chords/melody range to draft something out really quick.
Second close would be any Jazz/FM piano. Needs to be "unnatural enough" though.
Follow all sorts of brasses, shakuhachis and EPs.

Re: transpose and keeping scale with moog sub 37?

So, you are looking for "an arpeggiator that morphs a sequence according not only to the fundamental note, but also to the selected scale"? (if so - how do you tell it what's the wanted scale?) I think I second Zamise. So far I've only seen stuff like that on in-box software (Band-in-a-Box, maybe Nt...

Re: Roland JD-990 with vintage synth expansion VS XV-5050

Okay, looks we're all speaking like "JD990 as a part of JV/XV series". Question - did we forget that adding a SR-JV-04 to a JD-990 adds not only the 255 extra JV-80 patches, but also another bank of patches available only on a JD990 ? And those are not directly translateable to more recent XVs' (wel...
