Re: MICROBRUTE update frozen!
Loungedumore, I'm sorry about the forum mistake, it was really late here and I wasn't really paying attention, just desperate to make it work! I don't have that pdf, as it isn't in the zip that has the microbrute connection (it's not there anymore!). The method you described was half the solution! A...

MICROBRUTE update frozen! SOLVED
I tried to update my new microbrute to the newest firmware, but it froze on 0%. Now my microbrute doesn't work, and I can't find the "tech support" document all the forums talk about... Any ideas?

Re: Request an analog on Roland's Facebook page!
My favorite roland product is my v-synth, it's amazing! And totally digital. I would love that, really. If they could do something like that again, that would be awesome!

I'm a total sucker for blue synths, too (or blue anything, in fact)

It was in reference to volumetrik's previous comment. It's not really accurate of my part, though!Stab Frenzy wrote:What is this in reference to?ravenmek wrote:no, they are autotuned, so, they are tuned automaticaly when you are not playing.

Re: If you could design the perfect synth
Anyone's dream synth with lots of features is going to cost quite a bit of money. A lot of people as als describing powerful analog synths similar to the Schmidt - which is $20K! Of course, I know, but the thing is not only the price, but the taxes. I should pay more or less 8000 dollars for it, wh...

Re: If you could design the perfect synth
You have almost described the John Bowen Solaris. In my original post, I was going to state that the Solaris could be as close to a perfect synth as any. But as I stated before, I like having several synths with their own strengths. I know! I would love to try one, but buying a 4000 dollars synth i...

a 4 digital OSC (wavetables, samples, FM, even with a joystick for vector synthesis) with analog SVF filters (8 for polyphony), distortion, 4 ADSR envelopes, 3 LFOs (including S&H). At the end, an analog chorus and spring reverb for the solos. A big ribbon controller, CS80 style, a XY pad for param...

Re: Proof that Roland are indeed insane.
Yes, it does have an excessive sampling engine, but most of the preset samples are field recordings, loops, drum sounds and noises. And as it cannot do multisampling, and the time stretch is not magical, you can do really interesting things. I sold a K2000 because I was put off by the fact that it w...

Re: Proof that Roland are indeed insane.
Kenneth, the V synth sucks for imitating instruments, as it doesn't allow multisamples. It is great for weird, digital synth sounds, athmospheres, pads, weird sequences... Did you ever used one?
