Re: Yamaha Reface
Reface - meh, not for me. That DX10 picture somebody posted earlier on the other hand - very interested to see/hear more of that. Interface looks really cool from what you can see, and the design itself really reminds me of the TI Polar. Depending on features/sound/price point I'd likely be VERY int...

Re: kawai sx-240 on ebay for lols
It's actually very close to me, not that I'm interested. If you look at his feedback, all he seems to deal with is music gear, so I don't think this is a situation of them not knowing the value. 100% feedback since 2000 with over 200 transactions though, so who knows.

Re: March competition '15: New age-dolphin-crystal-healing s
We generally do the competitions voting based on a poll thread, so unless the people listening on the group come here to vote, seems a moot point, no? We usually just setup a disposable email account and make a soundcloud account and people upload to that. We make a poll in a voting thread with link...

Re: March competition '15: New age-dolphin-crystal-healing s
Seems like ninja hasn't been on the forum since at least the 18th, so I'm thinking if he hasn't responded by Friday I will setup a soundcloud and distribute log-in info so we can get this ball rolling. If everybody is cool with it I will post here when I have things setup Friday evening or Saturday ...

Re: Eurorack power question (+recommendations)
You just need to figure out what modules you want, figure out combined power consumption and ensure you get a case or power supply that can handle that load. I recommend registering on muffwigglers forum and read, read and read some more before you buy a single module. Also, might want to get on mod...

Re: Moog discontinues Slim Phatty
If your synth takes 30 minutes to stabilize, whether it is vintage OR modern... it is broken. A Moog modular doesn't take that long to stabilize as good as it's going to. Right, that's why this is a common complaint with the Slim Phatty. I had 2 different ones, one I got when it was launched and on...

Re: Moog discontinues Slim Phatty
Meh, owned it twice now. The 30-40 minutes of warm up time for stable tuning might be acceptable on a 30 year old synth, but not something bought new and made in recent years. Sounded great once it was warmed up, but if you just want to come home and fire everything up and jam, not so much. Sold my ...

Re: how to vintage your synth
As others have said, the funniest aspect of this video is the reactions of some of the posters here. Woe is me, he mashed up a DX7, I shall exhume the corpses of his loved ones and desecrate their corpses in an unflattering manner. Seriously...it's a synthesizer, and one of the most produced of all ...
