Re: Variations Competition: Winner

I would've played but I've been swamped with obligations. This seemed like a really cool theme too, I was hoping to see more entries.

The guitars kinda reminds me of a drunken version of the Sleepytime Gorilla Museum sound! I mean that in a positive way 8-)

Well well well... looks like we have someone from Panta Rhei here?
Not quite, I was but a gleam in me fathers eye in the early 80's, but thanks for pointing them out, I would have never thought of dressing Bartok in prague :P

Re: What was the first song you learned on your first synth?

J.S. Bach, Goldberg Aria, Korg MS2000, if you've seen silence of the lambs you've heard it... I didn't know that at the time though, I just thought it was pretty.

Re: Synth+Sampler+Seq:What Workstation?

My fusion was bug free except for a weird quirk with the midi out. It would put a program change to the tinkerbell sound into the steam. If you check the fusion zone forum, you will find that bugs are not uncommon. It seems like most people find a solution, but I have not really spent a lot of time ...

Re: Synth+Sampler+Seq:What Workstation?

I had a fusion for 5(ish) years, and currently have a motif xf. The synth engine in the fusion was great/unique (eg physical modeling, and the hard drive with eight audio inputs was quite nice, sampling too. That said I think the xf has a better sequencer, better filters, more insert effects, overal...
