Electribe EM-1 Wont Save Pattern Sets :( Please Help
I have read the manual and I can't seem to figure out why when I assign (and WRITE) a series of patterns to the pattern set buttons, when I power the machine back on later, they are always reset to the factory patterns. The unit saves my patterns fine, and even my drum mappings and midi channel assi...

Re: The obsession for the Analog
...there is more to music than being an audio producer. If you are a physical musician, you should also have that in you which requires an attraction to and love of interface. I don't have a MIDI arrangement to trigger my Minimoog. I play the musical instrument with my hands. The layout and physica...

Live Video - Noisy Analog Synth Pop
Hey peoples. Thought I'd post a couple videos from our show last weekend, I ended up getting really decent audio from the mic on the camera (even though it was sitting on the right main speaker...) Got an Mg-1 on leads/bass at the end, playing chords on a Casio MT-100 and a Altitude Modded Monotribe...

Suggestions for USB/MIDI Transport Control Surface
Right now I am converting USB to MIDI using my Axiom 25, and it is also acting as my tranport/clip launching controls for Ableton, using the <<, >>, Stop, Play, etc. Soon I will be getting a MS-20 Mini and I've been thinking about the best way to integrate that into my rig. If the freakin MS-20 had ...

Re: Good FX pedals for my synths?
For me an analog delay (EHX Memory Toy!) is the way to go, because it can easily serve the function of a reverb wash as well as a rhythmic echo. I think analog delay is more versitile in that way, since the repeats havetheir own tone, not just copies of the original signal. I have a EHX Holy Grail n...

Using Surge Protector as master "On/Off" Switch
So, I was wondering - I have a few pieces of gear (MG-1, Drum Machine, Mixer) plugged into one power strip, and I was wondering if leaving their individual power switches "on" and using the on/off of the power switch to power them up would cause any unwanted results, or if this essentially cuts the ...

Using Ableton as SIMPLE Step Sequencer?
Hey guys! I have been using Ableton Live in a fairly rudimentary way to sequence my Monotribe and drum machine, and arrange my songs/parts. The thing is...I want it to be simpler!!! I can't get over how much more fun it is to WRITE on a simple step sequencer (like the one ON the monotribe!). Is ther...

Re: Monotribe CV control
Never really had to link things together via CV before. I know there's a MIDI mod for the Monotribe, but if buying a cable will be cheaper and not void the warranty, it'd be a better option in case I want to return it or sell it "like new" used later. My old hesitation and new reason to midify the ...

FREE Single - Monotribe,MG-1,Casiotone,Circuit Bends
I posted a preview of this song a while back, figured I'd repost the proper release since its got a "B-side" track with it for download as well. Korg monotribe on bass, MG-1 for the leads, and a lot of weird modulations from cassette player-based circuit bent sources. http://goodwillfalcon.bandcamp....

Re: iPhone analog style sequencer/synth?
Yeah sorry if that was unclear, I was spewing it out on the phone while searching. What I mean is just....a simple synth with an elegant interface and a step sequencer. Seems like there should be one with a really good well made interface by now, I just haven't found it, everything is overcrowded an...
