Minidisc drive bands for broken MD drive repair

I have ~90 count of special rubber bands custom ordered so I could repair my Sony MDS-E12 Professional Minidisc Recorder which lost its ability to eject disc. I have repaired my drive with this rubber band and it is working good as new again. Also have repaired a Tascam minidisc unit with the same i...

Re: I built a Sampler!

I've always wanted to build a hardware sampler of my own with lots of knobs! Great work! You could put that in a eurorack format and sell them I bet. I was just thinking about how you could cash in hard with a run of these in modular sizings. It looks impressive and well designed, so congratulation...

Re: Hardware Sampler Question (Mostly just "why")

They have SCSI right? Grab a zip drive and some disks really cheap. don't overpay on ebay, they're easy to find cheap if you wait. Ensoniq samplers rule. just keep resampling with the internal FX and if you end up really loving it can install a floppy emulator to make life easier. some ensoniq gear ...

Re: ASR-X sequencer

I just realized I necrobumped the h**l out of this post but I already wrote so much I'm not deleting it  I love the h**l out of my ASR-Xes. I have a black one and a red one. The timing on the really old OSes, like 1.3 and older IIRC have weird timing bugs. Newer versions fixed that timing bug,...

Re: Help with Midi-Ox settings for old synths

i seem to remember these being picky about sysex timing - you will just need to mess with the settings like in the above post, although default values which were bolded should work fine for you. good luck

Re: Roland's Super MRC Operating System

There isn't anything like an ~official changelog~ floating around somewhere, is there? I am mostly curious to know if the Version 0.1 I have is an uncommon find. I still plan on backing up the disk and making an image of it just in case.

Roland's Super MRC Operating System

I recently acquired a Roland MC-500 along with a binder of disks the previous owner had. I booted it up with the provided system disk, which to my surprise showed up as Version 0.1! I couldn't find any information about Super MRC older than I've been searching around for other versions of the OS. I ...
