Re: Synths and You (the collection of opinions)
1) The synth that made you want to play music: None. I neither got into music because of synthesizers nor because of synthesizer-related genres. 2) Your first synth: Korg Wavestation EX. 3) The synth that has surprised you most: That might sound funny, but it was the Monotron because it ultimately ...

Re: Moog Sub 37
I've uploaded a track that only features sounds I've done with the Sub 37 (27 tracks in total):

The youtube file has a slightly better quality.

Re: Moog Sub 37
I think that most people are just not very adventurous with programming. It essentially has 4 audio rate mod sources (2lfo + 2looping env) and yet, people continue to play generic moog leads on it. Gotcha. I guess I couldn't have posted a more boring example then. Well, I'm currently prep...

Re: Moog Sub 37
I really want to like this synth. Great price, ton's of features, and great build. However, every time I check out demos on youtube, it sounds so dreadfully dull and flat. Why does a synth with these modulation capabilities seem lacking in the demos? Is this just a bread & butter synth, or is it so...

Re: DSI PRO 2
I think it does. It says "Shape modulation". But I may have misunderstood you. ok... I guess I would assume that just referred to the "standard" waveshapes as opposed to the complex waves. Also curious about the "superwaves". I have to say they do a really bad just with the specifics on these thing...

Re: DSI PRO 2
Does the Pro 2 have the same wavetable "modulation" ability as the p12, or are they basically just static waves. From the specs site : Oscillators Four DSP-based oscillators plus one sine wave sub oscillator Four classic wave shapes (saw, square, triangle, sine) per oscillator Twelve selectable com...

Re: DSI PRO 2
What if I already have a P12 (+Tempest)? Totally intrigued by the P2, and was set on a Sub37 upon release. Now I'm torn between which to get... It depends on what you want. Do you wanna add some Moog sound to your arsenal, or is it about functionality? The Sub 37 would add some obvious variety to y...

Did h**l just freeze over? ↑↑↑↑ No, this is just Marc post-Moog , where is able to evaluate synths without everything being a comparison...to a certain unnamed synth .....by an unnamed company...unless I named it already... I say the early symptoms surface with the microbrute review/gushing a...
