Re: New Arturia something at Messe?
Also hoping for a synth with two osc or something not necessarily bigger but with more features, although i think they'll drop the ''Brute'' name.

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey
I don't see a lot of bitching, i think there is a discussion about using patch storage, and it's a interesting one I mean, does Patch Storage kills your creativity or not, to each their opinions, but i don't see a problem in talking about it. And also, aren't these thing being released only in Septe...

Re: New stuff from Roland!
Do you know how hilariously pompous and pretentious you sound? It's pretty simple, I have limited resources and space. The equipment I purchase must meet my individual and very specific needs. If this makes me pompous and pretentious, so be it. If the new Drum Machine by Roland can sequence an exte...

Re: Most abused synths/tones
Oddly enough I don't find myself hating over used synth patches, but in most instances I hate the majority of music that utilizes them. This is especially true of the supersaw, but for some reason I find it comforting to own a synth with which I can quikly dial in that sound. I could never get into...

Re: Budget synthesizer for live dance sounds
Hay there mate. Well, i'm not a big expert or anything but within the range of sounds you posted, i think a Nord Lead would suit your needs, a friend of mine used to play in a hits band a lot daft punk and other things with one of those pretty well. As you said it yourself, the Microokorg is capable...

Re: Tangerine Dream, Late 1981.
Well, lotsa DX7 on optical race, i remember an article( or lengthy forum post?) saying the dx7 was responsible for ''thinning'' production values in the mid 80's. I don't like Optical Race, altough i love the DX7. But anyways, what happened to TD, well... IMO they lost their edge, common thing for b...

Re: New analog Arturia synth?
Also, Adrian Utley's quote may give some clue about it. According to him, ''i loved the original, and IT'S get that character...''. So it's probably based on another synth, which...

Re: New analog Arturia synth?
Wow, when i saw the thread's title i thought it was probably a polysynth. But after reading some of the quotes about it being ''small'' and such i think it's gonna be another, problaby 2 osc, monosynth. I have the Minibrute and i'm having a blast probably used for 2 thousand hours already, but i rea...

Re: The great thread of electronic/synthesizer soundtracks
Director Shane Carruth did the music for his film UPSTREAM COLOR. Great film and very fitting music. Maybe nothing you'd want to listen to apart from the film but very effective as incidental music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdYO3KWmcv8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SilYsr_3vrA Yeah, totally....

Re: The great thread of electronic/synthesizer soundtracks
Well, i was gonna post some Bladerunner, but i guess you guys already heard about that. I made a search here and didn't find anything about this guy: Cliff Martinez, he worked on Drive and Only God Forgives, recently. On the Drive OST there's a lot of glossy, 80's vibes, as the songs were chosen wit...

Re: TTSH: Two Thousand Six Hundred (DIY Arp 2600 Clone)
Well, i'm pretty much a newbie regarding modules and vintage stuff like the ARP, so i'm gonna make a massive begginer's question: In the kit done by the swedish guys, they're selling the oscilattors board, plus the main board and front panel, so... what about the keys? how do you hook them to the ar...
