E-MU Samples for LIVE

Anyone out there know of a solid bank of any EMAX factory samples I can load into LIVE? (Cheap? Free?) I know there are a lot of great sounds Depeche Mode used on there and would love to play with some of those colors. I have thought about buying one for a while but thought Id look into some sample ...

Re: Eurorack Chorus: A Rare Beast

being devils advocate, there are some chorus units, like the 'dimension D' that are very hard to imitate with short delay and slow lfo. I suppose there may be some baked in EQ or feedback setting that accomplishes this. It's tempting to paint delay effects with a broad brush as if they are all exac...

I suppose that answers that. However, It is still surprising that there aren't more dedicated modules out there.

Eurorack Chorus: A Rare Beast

So besides the Analog Systems Reverb/Chorus Module; are there really no other eurorack chorus modules? Sighting Roland's legacy, chorus is such a staple to sound design. I am surprised there are not a slew of modules out there dedicated to it. I would think at least Doepfer would have one? Here is a...

Re: Eurorack Ring Mod

Yes, you will want more than the one on the Atlantis. That one is not even patchable, it's fixed at the end of the audio signal chain. You can never have enough VCAs  Think of it as a voltage controlled attenuator. You need VCAs if you wanna modulate the modulations. In fixed architecture ...

Re: Eurorack Ring Mod

Skip the mults and use stackcables. Add some VCAs and mixers. You can patch up your own ringmod, don't necessarily need a dedicated module for it. I have an uMod but I don't use it very often... Solid advice. I'm confused on the VCAs. There is one on the Atlantis. would I need more for a simple mod...

Eurorack Ring Mod

Opinion time! Whats the best bang for your buck / most colorful eurorack ring mod! building a small mobile modular in a Super Synthesis Super 37 case (104 HP with keyboard) I kinda want a modular SH101 on crack. (I.e the intellejel and the assmaster) Thoughts on this build below? what else do we nee...

Re: Jupiter 6 Vs Proph 08

Why do you consider the Prophet lackluster? It seems like a very capable synth to me. Have you really dug into it's editing capacity and learned how to get the most out of it? I just don't see going from that to a Jupiter 6 as being an upgrade. The Jupiter is sexy because it's retro, but you have m...

Re: Jupiter 6 Vs Proph 08

Well if the Jupiter 6 is a good price I say go for it, if you don't like it you could probably make money off it to go towards plan B. Yeah, anything classic Roland you should at least get your money back on if you don't like it - and from what I've heard of the JP-6, it's a very nice synth. Thanks!

Jupiter 6 Vs Proph 08

I have a line on a really reasonably priced Jupiter 6. I am pretty unhappy with my Proph 08. It's lackluster in my humble opinion. I love the way it's laid out but I just don't think it really delivers. I have played a Jupiter 8 for a few moments in a shop and liked it, but never a 6. I love all the...

Swarmatron CV Control

Since I have had my swarmatron I get a lot people wondering how practical it is. Well thanks to the CV controls is can be very practical. This is a short little demo I did a while back and since then have become really good friends with Leon Dewan (the creator) and have unlocked it's potential furth...

Re: Proph 08 Jump

√Detuned Saws √Reverb √Delay √Killer Preamp The env on the pitch might a help a bit. I have that on my other brass sounds. I am not trying to be a synth simpleton here. I get that it's an elementary patch... It also happens to be very useful. I get it on paper and I have managed to make it with diff...

Proph 08 Jump

I have heard a lot of comparisons between the DSI prophet 08 and the OBXa. I feel like the ocillators are so diffrent sounding. Tried to make a simple "JUMP" Style patch with detuned sawtooth waves and it just sounds so weak and rizzy. They just seem very diffrent. Which obviously they are. But you ...
