Re: Arturia Discontinues MiniBrute
Hi, why would you want a Minibrute vs. a Minibrute 2 ? You get on the Minibrute 2 a much better Sequencer, better integration into DAWs. Start into Modular Synth with the Semimodular setup and CV input/output ports to integrate into any growing modular setup. From the tone side (I do not own any) t...

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
Novation Supernova line has great arps, even polyphonic with lots of useful patterns.

Re: Arturia Discontinues MiniBrute
Which means buy them now, because prices will go up with time
I'll probably get a 2nd one, because I love it and right now they are dirt cheap 2nd hand.

Re: Synthesizers - Where to start
Since you've got Electro which covers your keyboard sounds, I'd get a DX7 for additional keyboard sounds and FM synth sounds (some great banks can be found for it if you don't want to dive into FM programming), Nord Lead 2(x) for polyphonic analog stuff, because it is very straightforward and sounds...

Re: Alphavoyager - SYNESTHESIA - my live performance series
Here is the 2nd video from the series. This time Yamaha DX7 sequenced by Arturia Keystep, run through Vox Delay Lab in stereo digital delay setting and then the delay run into Zoom MS-70cdr HD Hall which goes into Particle Verb. Arturia Minibrute takes care of high pad and bass/lead parts. Enjoy! ht...

Alphavoyager - SYNESTHESIA - my live performance series
Hi folks! I just started a live performance video series and this is the first video with Arturia Minibrute, Yamaha DX7, Steinberg Micrologue (main sequence), Vox Delay Lab, Zoom MS-70cdr and of course my hand made wooden Bansuri flute to spice it all up. Enjoy ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HL4...

Re: Behringer about to release six (!) new synths
MS20? Why bother? If they make it without that horrible noise problem that got through at Korg's, then why not? I'd be into a Cat if it actually sounded the same. CEM2040, so good. +1. I'd be totally for the Cat even if it doesn't sound exactly the same, which I doubt it will. Imho the Cat is one o...

Re: 53 Minute comparison - Minimoog and Behringer Model D
The bottom end is not a frequency thing, it's a dynamics thing. That's why it's not audible with a single waveform :) The VCA envelope in the Mini is kinda clipped. The shape is like what happens with compression. So it sounds punchy. The oscillotors beat in a fairly complex way because they're not...

Re: Analogue Solutions Fusebox
This synth is on my shopping list. It seems so well thought out it's ridiculous! I fell in love with the Telemark sound, but this takes it further and for basically the same price. I'm looking forward to Marc's review.

Re: 53 Minute comparison - Minimoog and Behringer Model D
I think the D sounds very good, but it does lack the bottom end of Model D, which is quite obvious when you listen to this comparison with a good sub. Other than this the differences are very subtle.

Re: Aphex Twin Yamaha DX patches
Some cool sounds in there. Typical sinewave-ish DX7 stuff which I always like. But many of the patches don't work on my DX7.
