Can be done to a degree but you'll need a good solid understanding of how to program patches. My suggestion i...

Re: Bass Station 2 firmware 4.14 AFX mode
2. The AFX mode is essentially turning this synth into a fully featured drum machine – on roids You are not the first person to suggest this. You can't have more than two notes playing at one time (and that requires paraphonic mode, so they share the filter and amp). Just a four on the floor kick p...

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
Get your hands on a Yamaha Motif if you can...the arpeggiator is insane. It's really a four-track sequencer that can interpret the chords being played. It does everything from drum patterns to melodic riffs and on most models in the family you can create your own arp patterns. That's the Karma mode...

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
A lot of people don't realise that the MicroKorg has a huge ARP - and it sends notes out via MIDI OUT.

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
Roland MC-505 has an amazing ARP section - and I never realised how deep it goes until someone recently pointed it out to me. Great stable MIDI clock on this machine - and the ARP sends notes out through MIDI.

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
Roland GAIA SH-01 has a really big ARP section - it also offers editing via a 3rd party computer application. Roland did have software for this, but have discontinued it - and it is difficult to track down.

Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators
I've begun doing a series of videos on my YouTube channel about synthesizers with amazing arpeggiators. I tend to look for ones that have deeper editing and pattern/motif features and the ability to send ARP to MIDI OUT. I'll post the videos in the replies below. Do you have a synth with a cool ARP?...

Re: My first synth - the Roland XP-10
I mentioned the XP-50 in the video. It was out of my reach at the time. I've come across them more recently and with all the Roland Cloud stuff out now, I can't really see myself getting one. But who knows, things often change

Re: My first synth - the Roland XP-10
So many owned a Casio as their first synth. I think Casio must have made a lot of money in the 80s and 90s.

My first synth - the Roland XP-10
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN4Nr8qyjho A little video about my first synth - the Roland XP-10 (which I still own). I also did a small repair and then checked out some of the features. I talk about the personal journey that I've taken to get this synth and why I chose it in the beginning. What ...
