Re: How is Oberheim Matrix-6 still so cheap?

I love all old analog synths pretty much. Even the Poly-61 and JX3P are really cool, even though I have a hard time finding sounds that I really love on those synths. Of course they're amazing! Funny. I remember a time not that long ago when Juno 60's were cheap, and somewhat looked down on, or con...

Re: How is Oberheim Matrix-6 still so cheap?

It sounds extremely fat to me. Comparing with other 2DCO synths such as JX3P (that sounds really cold and thin to me) and Korg Poly-61 it's like night and day. Poor Poly61, always getting picked on. I think it sounds excellent personally. I think many amazing synths get a bad rep on-line (although ...

Nah, I have a Mopho key and the lp filter doesn't sound like that at all.

Re: DSI PRO 2

Wow, just wow ! That thing is a workhorse for sure !

Those filters are sounding real good for a modern mono. I'm hearing tones reminiscent of the prophet five in that demo.

Definitely will have to reconsider my Sub37 purchase now.

Re: My new album ARTEFACTS

You did some great work—some unique and unconventional, even industrial-like sounds that don't come across too strong.
I also enjoyed the assortment of spaces you have created in the different tracks without losing the consistency that makes for a good album.

Re: What do you want from Moog?

I would like: An Animoog keyboard. A physical device with a long iPad-like keyboard-shaped glass panel. I would snap that up in a second. Or, a return to the sound and design that made the Moog name famous. Products made for musicians that are well-built, meticulously designed, and possessed of unm...

right, because you have to be a crazy Tea Party nut to be suspicious of fluoride and vaccines... but please, don't mind me, feel free to embrace their nuclear waste products and mysterious concoctions (that actually cause the diseases they supposedly prevent, contain cancer-causing viruses, etc.)! ...

Re: What do you want from Moog?

I'd love to see Moog try an 8 voice using DCO's with independent drift/stability adjustments. For the filter section a Memorymoog style set up with adsr allocation per voice, and a faithful analogue recreation of the four pole on the Mini. I think a setup like this could keep the price reasonable an...

Re: SOFTWARE REVOLUTION

I am a bit jaded, but I spent about 8 years in qualitative AND quantitative market research. There is also this forum called talkbass, where every single discussion; ebony vs rosewood, tube vs solid state, fender vs gibson, 10" vs 12" (speaker you dirty sods). All boil down to a 'blind test". This ...

Re: The Moog Modular was not an April's fool joke

Somehow I think this would've been cooler without the Emerson connection... Get's me thinking though, perhaps a Model 10 for us common folk? :) http://www.vintagesynth.com/moog/moog_synthesizer_10.jpg Totally possible. I don't think Moog would invest 3 years in r&d only to limit the modules to a sm...
