Re: Prophet T8 left voice board lower volume

Hi Ryan, Panpot feeds the U607 opamp (LM348) then signal goes through U605 analog switch (4016). My bet is on the 4016 , I have seen some of them fail. Concerning the LF353 replacement, to get the best results you need to tweak the surrounding components too, swapping just the opamp with one with b...

Re: Prophet T8 left voice board lower volume

Your assumptions are probably correct. The last opamp LF353 is the main suspect, which is a Jfet input opamp. Thank you for you quick reply. Your reaponse helped me progress greatly and I feel better as I can get thise for 34 cents. So I turned it on and start trouble shooting yesturday again after...

Re: Heavily Saturated Chroma Polaris jam no effecs

Just another POS cell phone recording. I'd like to note how the Polaris is bright and really stand out here, but hey; I had to make something.

Got another high fidelity recording here with Chroma polaris in unison with Prophet rev2. You can here it behind the prophet rev2 keys adding character.

Re: First tune for 5 years

you listen to a 48khz flac file. it is going to sound different than the same file that is 384khz. If the audio were sampled at these resolutions. This is a fact. That's only your opinion. You'll have to prove it. Saying it's a fact does not distort reality. It's already been explained to you that y...

Re: First tune for 5 years

So you attack me and validate me at the same time. I do not undertsand this. you listen to a 48khz flac file. it is going to sound different than the same file that is 384khz. If the audio were sampled at these resolutions. This is a fact. Now most peolple clearly dont think this is useful. but it i...

Re: First tune for 5 years

I sample a 768 khz audio.... It will sound identical at 384khz. Sound great my brain doesn't know that things can be better until you listen to the 768khz. And there is a slight difference. The next day listen to the 384khz again and you can not tell. It sounds "better" to you because you know whic...

Re: First tune for 5 years

I read a little bit of your peoples responses and I have been over this many times. And I ddint read that whole response because right off the bat you completly misunderstand what I am saying. Fact is i know the difference between Files and sample rates. I have been using FLAC for years and the same...

Stupid smart phone. I had another one that was louder, but to muddy. Android needs Audacity.

Re: First tune for 5 years

okay so you mix down a track. record every part at 384khz into a 384khz file. Now there is going to be more room in a 384khz file for all those tracks and every little bit of detail that comes with them that adds charachter and sonic warmth to music. Not every little bit of each 384khz recording wil...

Re: First tune for 5 years

High Resolution for me is not about high freq., but bandwith. It works. I can send more detailed wider information more easily with minimal effort to the stereo with a 384khz flac container. Also when recording it draws in more sound from the mixer. It gets a more detailed picture of what is comming...

Re: First tune for 5 years

In my exp. I'm just letting you know I have had better results with higher resolution stuff... Easier to use and manipulate. Innfact most players dont accually have the ability to put out that much data so it gets compressed on the fly. Regardless. The aiff is putting out more bits per second than t...

Re: First tune for 5 years

Yeah it is a good tune. Ive just had alot of problems with compression [anything below 96khz] and 192khz & 384khz having a better over all sound. That's because you have a plugin in your DAW that is producing aliasing. If nothing is broken, Nyquist-Shanon works every time. I don't use a DAW. Someti...
