Re: Roland SH-1000 Fixes??

I'm trying to resurrect one that both VR's are missing from. The devices I get w/ SI-3150 are obviously something else. I imagine a 7815 will more than sub for it. (I tried, realizing a .5A fuse means quarter amp max probably per device, and it seems to be working ok.) But it'd be swell to see and y...

Re: Cannot find Crumar Performer B service manual, please he

I had a bad link for the service manual. A few people posted music part's scan of the version A which is of course identical in the tone generation department and I think power supply and string effect, but different in the EG and Filter for sure. I have *that* manual in hard copy and I have crummy ...

Re: Korg DW8000 Firmware/OS Bin File

I can get it if I don't already have it here. Checking..it's on my HD not my website yet but I'm uploading it now to sounddoctorin.com and the global synth resource link then 'production synths' then 'korg' and 'dw8000' and then the link for eprom code or whatever there. All done. enjoy

Re: Waldorf Quantum - new 8 voice hybrid poly

It sounds pretty great... I hear some stuff that is near identical to wavestation but with the great analog filters. I'd love to demo it for them... knowing the wavestation intimately of course I think we could drag some pretty great stuff out of it somehow

Re: Crumar Stratus - how much does it weigh?

I try to keep all weights on my http://www.sounddoctorin.com/synthtec/synth.htm pages. (Production synth link, Crumar in this case, Stratus. I just finished putting a Yamaha organ key movement ina stratus here and will do some wood work to hold the panel and make it look sweeter than ever. The yamah...

Re: Where to buy Moog Prodigy replacement keys?????

actually there apparently were two types of keys used I'm finding in Prodigy. There is someone on ebay selling pratt read keys claiming they are for prodigy also. However I've always dealt with people who have the later version that uses the less common Korg keys from minikorg through Sigma (pretty ...

Re: Crumar Composer h**l!

I've finally done a lot of documentation on this machine. Dealing with my own strange issues on one that sat a while. Must be some through hole conductor going open intermittently. Suddenly the mono section won't change sounds though the codes are being sent to the multiplexers and all the different...

Re: Synth Technicians and Repairs

There is a list of people on my site also on the sounddoctorin.com/synthtec/synth.htm page. Greg , Tony, I see already up there. Not seeing Dean at Five Star down in Arizona. He's a good engineer also. Didn't list me but I'm usually too busy anyway. Hehe. And nobody has synths in montana hardly. Not...

Re: Kawai K1 Organ Programming

it's pretty easy once you get the hang of things. In the edit you can go to the a, b, c, d edit groups as I recall . On the 8 patch number buttons you can mute any of the 4 oscillators/samples by pressing it and then re-press it to get it back on one side and the other is the select as I recall so t...

Yup reverb.com is what I'm working towards making the hub right now. I like the setup there and we are just going to overwhelm it with vintage gear over the next weeks and hopefully people will begin looking there first instead of eeeeechhhhbay

Re: Roland D-50 keyboard contact strips - any alternatives?

I still have some I believe nos. However the way to go usually is to just resurface the ones that need it with the contact disks I designed for this purpose. http://sounddoctorin.com/synthtec/parts/key.htm#polycontacts This should be general knowledge in the synth community by now. Roland keeps sayi...

Yup and this is another thing about ebay. HOW LONG DID I KEEP PLEADING with them..to simply have an admin put searches in for *Rhodes Chroma * Yamaha CS-80 * Roland Jupiter ..at least... and ..my favorite treatment would have been to put the fake accounts in a SHILL ENVIRONMENT. LOL. Where they coul...
