Re: freeware gated reverb plugins

Hey, thanks for the reply... I downloaded some VST effects yesterday (didn't get to try them out yet), and I'll get the ones you mentioned as well.... I don't know about phil collins; I'm mostly into Techno and House music ^^ well the gated reverb setting just makes everything very crunchy, a bit di...

freeware gated reverb plugins

Hello :) I own a Mackie CFX12 mk2 mixing desk which has a built-in effects units. well I really like the crunchy sound I can get when using the gated reverb setting, especially on cymbals and percussions, but unfortunately there is not so much to adjust besides "time" and "damping" (besides the send...

Re: Moog model D reissue

Dude, a Sub37 VCO? No way...too much work. They got that minty new Moog 15 iPad app right? Duct tape that into a fake wooden box and say "Damn, we're done!" Sure, they'll need a promo video featuring some guy with artisinal facial hair, but once that hard work is done, they can just sit back and le...

Firewire Audio Interfaces and Linux

Hello, recently I have been thinking of getting Renoise and switching from WIndows to a Linux distribution... Renoise seems to be able to do all I want from a DAW, and I have used Linux before. I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 audio interface, and wonder if it is possible to use it with Linux. I fo...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

I really like the synth and I think for the price, it is really good. where it really shines in my opinion are modulation heavy patches with all 4 motion seq lanes doing something + LFO + ENV modulation. you can get pretty nice evolving sounds out of it. I haven't yet managed to create really fat ba...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

PS: the delay is really way too noisy in my opinion, I'd rather use my EHX memory boy for something more than subtle echo...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

actually I did just that, before reading your post right now. but thanks anyway :D yeah I like it a lot so far after getting used to the programming a bit. it is really very easy to wrap your head around. I think this might be the synth I have been looking for. lets see what I come up with in the ne...

I will finally get myself one today and wanted to ask, if you can configure the midi out so that it only sends clock but no controller data / notes?

Re: Any idea how to create this synth sound from a FourTet s

well Four Tet mostly uses samples (on his newer records anyway) and mangles them to sound very different from the original sound. so it could be anything really.

on earlier albums he did lots of recording I believe (especially guitar).

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

by the way, for those who haven't seen the latest sonicstate review of the minilogue, there is actually a workaround regarding the envelope reset. portamento on, portamento time zero.

I need to save some more money, and then I definately will get one. :)

Re: Additive synthesis anyone??

if you're a bit into mathematics, look up "fourier transformation" which is the mathematical process of combining sines and cosines to approximate other waveforms.

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

Well, it's always-start-from-zero behaviour. Which is rather unnatural, yes. but the way I see it, it would be only a matter if the attack time is pretty long, or not? 600eur is a big investement for me, so I want to be as informed as possible... but most of the demos of the synth I find on youtube...
