Re: Moog discontinues Slim Phatty

I'm not trying to be rude here, but all the people saying 'I kind of planned on buying one one day' are sort of the reason that things get discontinued. I hate to state the obvious, but companies that want to stay in business keep making things while people are buying them and then stop when the bu...

Re: Anyone seen this company - GRP Synthesizer ?

Yes, their review on the Andromeda is great. I own one as well, but alas, my love for modular is stronger. I am selling the Alesis. :(

Re: Anyone seen this company - GRP Synthesizer ?

I put my name down to purchase one of these this year. I'll give you knobheads my best review of it. From all the videos I have watched and the reviews I have seen on it. The capabilities are huge. Yes, no modulating CV, just routing, BUT, that shouldn't limit the tone you are looking for. You can a...

commodorejohn wrote:Hmm, looking at a photo of the back of the unit, the power switch is actually back there. Is the pink thing maybe an A440 switch, then? That would be awfully handy with the single-slider-to-do-coarse-tuning-across-several-octaves arrangement.

The pink is a power light I am assuming.

Re: A poly analog with full Midi parameter access

I really like the six~trak and recommend it, but would definitely keep an eye out for the Oberheim Matrix 6 or 6R if you want more complex and unique sounds. I'll double on the Six~Trak. I had borrowed one for a year and pretty much used it for every sound on my bands EP. It's creamy and rich, it's...

Re: Help a brother choose his first synth

I suggest an older Access Virus, B or C I own the Access Virus B Indigo and holy s**t, it grumbles, has phat bass and can squeak like a mouse when I want it too. The filter is not the wettest of the Virus series. But it can touch frequencies other synths I have owned cannot, i.e. Korg MS2000/RADIAS....

Re: Korg Poly 800 my F is an A

My Poly-800 has done the same exact thing! The whole range has shifted and is even quite flat. I can't even hard tune the f**k to match any of my synths! hahahahah. It's been a wallflower for years now...

Re: Most intuitive/educational current analogue monosynth?

I started learning analog patching on a DOTCOM modular... it makes things a lot more difficult than I imagined... a simple analog synth can teach you quite a bit though. My room mate brought home a Microbrute and boy do I have more fun with that than any digital synth I have ever played.

" 231469893493 is for a Jomox Resonator Neuronium for $24,990.00. The owner so revered it that it was kept under a special plastic bubble (like Bubble Boy) and played through remote touch strips.
