Re: Juno 60 Envelope Problems. Need Help!

When you press the same key over and over it rotates through the six voice chips and the filter calibration of each is slightly different so the pitches are a little off. If every sixth note is missing it means the filter for that particular voice is not reaching self resonance, also probably a cal...

Juno 60 Envelope Problems. Need Help!

Hi everyone! I have a Juno 60 that is fully working besides just a couple things. 1.) When I flick the "Trigger Mode" switch to "Manual" and press the big LFO trigger button, only the DCO changes, nothing happens to the Envelope over in the VCF section. The VCF and Envelope seem to work fine when "A...

Roland JX3P Sequencer Problems

Hi everyone, I got my first ever Roland JX3P and it sounds just fantastic. However mine doesn't seem to work fantastic, well everything but the sequencer works. I push the "write" button and then I play individual keys and the LED's move from left to right as normal as I play different keys. When I ...

Re: Roland Juno 60 controls not working

do you have the schematics ? all of the controls are handled by the cpu on panel board B. I would suspect an error in that area. Maybe the RAM is corrupted. Check if the powersupply is ok and if panel B gets all of its supply voltages. check for broken wires between Panel A and panel B. the switche...

That's the funny thing. The presets are working. Every time I change a preset button the sound changes.

Alright, after some time I got the IC's in the mail. I replaced all the CA1845E, CA3080E, CA3046E chips, tested all diodes and transistors and I STILL am getting no sound out of the output.

At this point, I'm really at a loss. You have any ideas what could be going on?

My Juno 106 is too quiet!

Hi everyone! I have yet again ran into another Juno 106 problem that I am unfamiliar with. I have a Juno 106 that is way quieter than my other Junos. I have swapped known good module boards and nothing changes. The "L,M,H" switch does work. I have tried different cables and different amps and still ...

Re: First Year/Month Juno 106 have you seen this?

Weird!! What's the first 2 digits of your serial #? 38. So I'm thinking that would be January of 1984. Also, sorry for the huge pics, I'm not are how to get them the right size. I have had 2 from March of 1984. They had the regular wave chips. However they did have the metal portamento switch. Ever...

First Year/Month Juno 106 have you seen this?

Hey everyone! I just picked up a Roland Juno 106. Maybe my 17th one I have owned, haha. Well this one is the first one that I have ever seen something like this on the module board. 2 wave chips are inserted in each single row of pins where the single wave chip normally goes. What the heck? http://i...

Re: Roland HS60 Juno 106 ringing note (not voice chip)

another clue. After another look, there was a ground wire from the module board that was supposed to be screwed down. After I screwed it down the ringing out sound seemed to lessen. So the ringing out sound has something to do with the grounding?

Roland uno 106 Chorus problem

Hi everyone, I have a very strange situation with a Juno 106. When I engage either of the chorus buttons, I hear the modulation chorus "swooshes" but it seems as though the synth sound aren't being modulated "chorused". it WAS working, but I took out the MN3101 and MN3009 chips and replaced them wit...

Roland HS60 Juno 106 ringing note (not voice chip)

Hi there, I have a problem that I have never encountered before and just can't seem to fix. I have a Roland HS60 which is the exact same thing as a Juno 106 but the HS60 has onboard speakers. When I plug the mono out to an amp or pa, I have this note that rings out forever and doesn't stop. Its alwa...

Re: My Micromoog is blowing fuses!

Sorry to hear that. Replacing components like that should not be advisable unless you´re really good at desoldering. If you´re taking that extra care though so the pads and traces don´t lift off in the process, then I don´t see why you shouldn´t replace the CA3046 chip. That one´s a probable culpri...

Re: My Micromoog is blowing fuses!

Chuck, by "key clicks" do you mean loud pops/thumps? If so, that´s an easy fix :) The VCA has to be calibrated. There should be a trimpot for that. I´ll have to direct you to the service manual for the optimal procedure. It´s a simple task, but I´m sure it´s explained in a better way than I could p...
