Yes, the chip handles the VCF/VCA.

I've removed all of the capacitors to find out that my capacitance meter does not work. So I will just replace them, I have to head to the electronics shop today anyway. See what that does.

I will also test that trim pot, thanks for the suggestion.

I have an Alpha Juno 2 that recently started having issues with voice 1. I traced that to voice A on the board and swapped the IR3R05 chips between voice A and B, and it made no difference. I am very curious if these first-generation thunderbolt audio interfaces actually provide any latency improvement over firewire. They seem a little bit silly when there are boatloads of cheap firewire interfaces available used that pretty much all work with the thunderbolt-firewire dongle.

Is it every 6th note that does that? I believe there is a way to start it in a diagnostic mode that will display the voice being played on the screen that should make it easier to identify if it is a voicecard or not. You'll likely have to give the card an acetone bath and remove the plastic lining,...

Seconded for getting a laptop for portability reasons. Jamming and live performance are much easier with a laptop. Nowadays you don't have to sacrifice much in the way of specs with a laptop, though you will have to sacrifice some dollars.
