One synth songs

I really like making entire tracks using only one synth. Here's two examples from my soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/finnharbour/the-possum This was made entirely on the DSI Tempest, with a bit of Boss reverb. https://soundcloud.com/finnharbour/escape-from-trump-tower and this was made entirely w...

Re: New hybrid digital/analogue Roland JD/Xi

Even AG hasn't gotten his ;) Not really my thing. If I want a tiny analog monosynth, I'm not going to buy a tiny digital Roland synth to get it. Also, this isn't a "hybrid." That word has been used for a LONG time to describe synthesizers that combine analog and digital functions in one synthesizer...

Re: FutureSonus Parva--an Affordable Analog Poly

My crazy idea so far is to sell my keyboards (prophet 12 and 08), buy a DSI Pro 2 and a Parva, and use the Pro 2 or my QY to sequence the Parva for nice, easily portable live analogue performances. This is, of course, if the Parva turns out well, which I'm sure it will. I'm trying not to count my ch...

Re: FutureSonus Parva--an Affordable Analog Poly

I can't think of another recent analogue/hybrid Polysynth that has eight or more part multi-timbrality and doesn't cost at least £3500 (I'm looking at you, 002).

80s synth pop on (mostly) 80s equipment

I started making 80s music with cheap old synths I bought on ebay to amuse my friends, inventing the back story that I was finding the music of a forgotten local artist called Finn Harbour on demo tapes in my attic. It's sadly proved a lot more popular than the 'legitimate' music I was making, but l...

Re: The Poly 800 Appreciation Thread

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I also wanted to add my love of the Poly-800 here. I used it recently to make two tracks (drums are from a Volca Beats and a QY300 respectively) https://soundcloud.com/siliqua/peg-onell https://soundcloud.com/siliqua/escape-hatch Done as part of a semi-spoof ...
