Re: Rack Mount Sequencer options?

Thanks for the ideas! I admit I was intentionally vague; as I was fishing for Units I had not heard of. Rackabity is important to me because I'm typically traveling for shows, and I usuely try to do so on mass transit. So fitting into my current travel case situation /rig Is key. I've also been usei...

Rack Mount Sequencer options?

I've been looking for another sequencer. Specifically one that mounts in 19" rack format, and has midi as well as CV capabilities. For what its worth, I'm open to any variety of feature sets, though some step sequencing function would be great. More than one channel is a bonus too, but not a deal br...

....something something.... "you're one smooth operator"

Sorry, I don't know why, but this tread made me think of playing the first gen PlayStation game "rage racer," and all of its techno-sound-design glory.

Re: Identify a synth

I hope that is a staged publicity shot or album cover or something.... Beacuse the monitor possitioning is laughable. Is it seriously so hard to set up near field monitors correctly?

Re: Why is the CZ101 not considered a classic?

I find having a cz 1 around usefull for a number of things. For Example it does gurgally drones well, and it has an uncanny knack for punching through a mix. (A fact the first wave Detroit techno dudes clearly figured out). It's interesting to hear that the jagged velocity control is not just in my ...

Re: Korg DW8000 Drum Hits

If only the dw8000 were multi-timberal... I guess one could buy a rack and fill it with ex-8000's... Another tip: Aside from Tweaking the filter eg depth,(#35)try sending midi
Notes lower then the keyboard goes.

TG500 Multi-mode MIDI glitches...

Has anyone else had issues with their TG500 A)dropping notes and B)hanging up on notes in multi-mode when more than a few channels are playing at once? This has been happening more and more lately... In fact if I have a 3 or 4 different parts playing through a few different individual outs it will s...

Re: Korg DW8000 Drum Hits

I like my DW a great deal. but.. It's not necessarily the punchiest one around for certain drum sounds... I think because the EG's are a bit lazy. that being said... If you're up for a little data entry, and some personal tweaking; have at it. kick patch: *in UNISON 1 PAR# VALUE 11 16 12 1 13 31 14 ...

Quadraverb question:

Recently picked up an Alesis Quadraverb... It has the plus ROM installed for what it is worth. Question is: Does the UI have any ability to copy a saved program from location to location? I don't see anything about it in either manual, and am wondering if its truly an oversite, or if I am just missi...

The real oversight here is why Daft Punk isn't selling a gold cutoff paired with a silver resonance knob. Duh.

Re: Korg DSS-1 multisound capabilities...?

Having used a tr626 as a midi sequencer before, the answer is no, it cannot control duration. Just triggering attacks. Also, to do this you need to go in and change each of the drum voices midi note assignments. Which is a richous pain on top of being super limited. I would recommend going to work w...

Soft editor for TG500?

Can anyone recommend and/or steer me towards a free download for a software editor specifically to be used with a TG500? If it has functionality with any of my other gear, all the better. Here's the kicker though; The only computer I have to run it right now is an older mac running OSX 10.5. With re...

Re: Behringer to make analog polysynths !

The most unique feature of most b-ger gear seems to be its abundance of self noise. So maybe this alleged cheap-o analog poly should have a self noise osc instead of your typical plain noise osc.
