Re: yamaha tg500 card help

Hmmm, I think I found the cards waveforms but there were the least existing things I've heard. even the internal ones sound better. and there's only 16 new waveforms.
Ok guys DON'T bother with yamaha 'rock & pop 2'

yamaha tg500 card help

So I recently got 2 cards, a 'data' card and a 'wavecard' off that ol' ebay ........... got them yesterday, slotted them in....... now what? I can't even seem to access the new waveforms. It's an official yamaha card too. I read the PDF and it says on page 5 "wave" of utility you can just dump the w...

Re: does this hardware exsist? a rack that shifts MIDI back/

ok well I'm not looking for actual midi 'DELAYS' I got various alesis fx processors for that stuff. so I'm not looking for things that shift the midi into endless feedback delays. Just shifting ONCE to fix things in the groove............... if that makes sense.

I guess a backwards in time just selects all other alternative midi tracks and delays them after hitting play? not sure really.

Re: does this hardware exsist? a rack that shifts MIDI back/

No not playing live. I'm using some very dated technology. an Amiga with OctaMED (with the only MIDI tools being note on/off and velocity  ) and various Akai s-series samplers and romplers.

thanks for the suggestions that MEP-4 looks interesting if it's not a fortune to get 2nd hand.

does this hardware exsist? a rack that shifts MIDI back/forw

You know how in cubase you could move forward or back MIDI information a touch forward or a touch back, like 000.1ms or most kind of thing on separate midi channels. Is there a rack that'll do this? back is probably logically impossible but hopefully forward. I know there's them Mark of the unicorn ...

Re: Using nothing but samples to create music

the entire early 90s UK hardcore and jungle scene was just samples.... if you had a synthesizer it was either a luxury or you were hiring a professional studio! atari ST and akai s950 being 2 weapons I wouldn't wanna fight against in medieval battle! those 2 things is like a horse and a mace!

Re: What is the sexiest looking synth of all time?

lol I'm the thread starter and I just thought but I never actually put my opinion on this yet! I'd probably go with the DX1! Looks like a spaceship control panel or something! love it. Don't own it sadly haha. also +1 on the 80s and 90s Akai white/cream/grey whatever colour you want to call it. It a...

Re: Thoughts on the Alpha Juno?

I have the juno 2, it's ok.nothing special. The presets are horrible apart from Syn Rise... what the... is obviously good too but I don't make techno music. but when you start editing the juno comes alive! I rate the alphas and mks50's a lot higher than the 6, 60 and 106 for sound design. people onl...

Re: Good crunchy, dirty, lofi samplers

lol, I think the s900/s950 low pass filter has been the biggest human debate in the history of man kind! for me, I always had it down as an analog filter (just by the way it sounds) then I read some one thought it was digital... then there's the whole thing about on the face of the unit it says 'VCF...
