Re: Midi connection for Korg Volca Bass

Tried that yesterday and the immediate result was that it wouldn't take any (midi) input. I'll give it another go tonight, though. Thanks for the advice.

Midi connection for Korg Volca Bass

My setup is a Korg Electribe SX hooked up to a Korg Volca Bass, both hooked up to a mixer, etc. What I'm trying to do is get the Volca to act as a simple rack unit, so I have decent, separate control over my drum volume vs. bass volume. What's happening is that when I start a patter or song on the E...

Porta Lead out of Korg EsX?

I'm trying to recreate the low end of a "Porta-Lead" sound from my Alesis Micron via my Electribe SX. So far I haven't had success. Here's the song I'm trying to program: link. Effect starts at about 1:08. There's an solo (same thing one octave higher) after 4:26. I've been told this is the "Lucky M...

Modding a Rhythm-matic R2000

I picked up an old, really simple drum machine for cheap on ebay. I love it. It's clunky and the interface is terrible. And it sounds like garbage, but in a good way. Moreover, it has exactly the beats I need for most of my simple drum-and-banjo songs. Last night I recorded this using it, instead of...

Re: Footswitch for Korg Volca series

Ugh, okay, what about the sync port? Is that just for the clock/tempo?

Footswitch for Korg Volca series

The Volca series all have identical MIDI inputs. What I'd like to do is switch between patterns using a Footswitch. So I could toggle between chorus pattern and verse pattern in a live context. While having hands free for keys/stringed instruments/holding a mic.

Is this possible? Is it easy to do?

better off with an ultranova or blofeld.
I already have an Alesis Micron. Is a Blofeld much of an improvement?

There's a Gaia to be had for 400 near me. But not in a store.
You should be able to get a Farfisa for less than that. And it'll actually sound like what you want, which the Gaia won't.
You have one? Or a lead on one?
