Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

I have two JV-1080s - one early serial number and one late - so once I get the card out of the one it got stuck in (and pull it apart to see what caused it to get stuck) I'll try the other one as well and see if it's the same or different.

So you have! Sorry, I haven't been following the thread closely enough.

Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

Beta testing is in progress - and there are still some bugs yet to be ironed out (e.g. slot physical space issues in the JV-1080). Another thing I've discovered is that the U-110 and U-220 slots are all PCM (ROM) ones and they don't take RAM cards at all (despite internet opinion saying otherwise!)

I think you must be a beta tester (like me). I don't think the cards are officially available for sale yet, until it is confirmed they work properly in all machines.

Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

aladan: I don't think the U-220 qualifies here. It has two ROM card slots for samples, I confirmed that the card fits these slots but of course it will be unreadable, and cannot be written to. You're quite correct. I was working from the list posted previously, and while the U-20 has RAM card slots...

Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

Hello,
When they are available I would like to buy a few of these. I have 8 matching devices (D-10, D-550, JV-880, JV-1080 x 2, U-110, U-220, R70) , but I think I can only afford 4 cards at the moment :-(
Please add me to the list...
Thanks,
A.
