I have a metal case ESQ-1 with Version 3.5 so that is not the problem.

Re: Ensoniq Mirage sample library?
I think a lot of Mirage (and Ensoniq) users are already part of the Ensoniq Users Group on Facebook. We have some very knowledgeable people there. Yes Blueknob, I am currently doing a 'Masters' on the Mirage....I am working on a series of Mirage Tutorials using OS 3.2, Masos and the Soundprocess OS ...

Re: Loading ASR-10 stereo samples on EPS-16 Plus?
I think I need to correct something here: It is not needed to have the memory expansion installed to have the SCSI active...anymore. Johan from Finland at Zin Circuits made some new interfaces....as well as memory expansion. I highly recommend to get the memory expansion though. I think a combo is o...

These are Audio CD's so you don't need SCSI, you just need to sample!

Re: Can sound cartridges go bad?
In my case with the ESQ-1 it was just a matter of cleaning the contact strip on the cartridge and a bit of cleaning of the connector you plug it in. Both the Cartridge and the Cartridge slot had not been used for years if at all for the slot. The initial issue was exactly how you describe it. I hope...

Re: Software editor for ESQ1?
I am very surprised when people ask for a software editor for the ESQ-1. Seriously, it's one of the easiest synths to program from the interface itself. Just curious to know: where do you run into problems when programming? Where do you get stuck? What is not working for you? Most important question...

Re: The Lost Art of Single Shot Samples!
I totally agree with you Dan. I love that sound example of the Prophet. Keep it up. Although I don't think it's forgotten. Some people don't know and what I like is that minds like you and me want to keep it alive. It almost has become a craft. I used to think that 'the bigger the better' but I came...

Re: Ensoniq ESQ-1 dead keys
Hi there,
Rainer Buchty has just released some good news about cloning the ESQ-1 keyboard processor. You might want to head over to the Ensoniq Users Group on FB to stay up to date!

Don't bother!
We can keep the Forums alive but I think anything website contents related has not changed for the past years and it will probably not change either... unfortunately.

I see where you thought it to be a Soundcanvas...but...the Soundcanvas units have the screen more in the middle and the buttons on the right of the screen.
I agree that what we see in the pic is recording gear.

Re: Synthesis on the Ensoniq EPS-16 Plus (No sampling allowe
The starting point of this video series is to find out and see what can be done with the EPS-16 Plus only.
PWM and Transwaves are different concepts. I am working on a video about Transwaves as well.

Synthesis on the Ensoniq EPS-16 Plus (No sampling allowed)
Who says it's only sampler?
Here's a way of doing PWM on the Ensoniq EPS-16 Plus without sampling or loading samples. I start of with the internal Square Wave and synthesize from there.

Akai timbra Wolf allows 4 different sounds so chords Can have individual sounds for each jet if that is what You mean. It is a 4 voice analog synth with different voice config and sequencer It Can be 4 mono sounds on different midi channels as Well. The esq-1 Can not do that however akais synth eng...

Re: The classic Ensoniq sound- best choice?
Of course the ESQ-1 responds to real-time modulation of the filter.
Assign any of the 15 modulators to the filter and it will work.
