Re: Polivoks filter pedal

Hi again. This is Vladimir Kuzmin's reply on the question about spring or not in the pedals: There wasnt the spring in the optical pedal beacuase the platform must keep the last position after the foot leavs pedal. This is just like CUTOFF knob: you take off the hand from it and the frequency stays ...

Re: Polivoks filter pedal

Yes, I see the difference now.
I don't think mine has a spring in it, at least mine does not but it could've been fallen out.
My pedal also goes "flat" when you step off, probably because of some weight...

Re: Polivoks filter pedal

Sure thing, I didn’t know about an optical one! That’s cool Thanks in advance for your pics of the interior and the screws. Mine looks like this. Also: is it supposed to stay in position, when pressed/depressed? Or should it always go back down? https://i.ibb.co/dKGQxSv/IMG-20200116-220057.jpg http...

Pot reads 1.2k relaxed to 2.78k when the pedal is depressed. Only the middle three pins are used in the DIN cable
errr... OK, but this is not what I requested earlier :-)
I would like to have the pictures of the big screws holding the pedal parts together...

The pot is operated by a string/spring mechanism. Which is neat
Thanks for the pics. Can you also show me how the screws hold it all together internally? I mean the big screws, which keep the case together...
My pedal is the earlier, first version: it has optical interface...

Yes we will do alien autopsy on it. I need to use a pedal because the formanta pot is going to be arthritic from all of my cutoff knob twirling.
Hahaha! :-) I can imagine! ;-)

Polivoks filter pedal

Hi all. I'm looking for someone who owns an original Polivoks filter pedal and could share pictures of it. I have got one, but it came without screws, so now I don't know if I need one long screw or many short screws in the inside. Also, schematics would be very appreciated as well! Thanks in advanc...

Re: Roland TR-505 vs TR-626

Damn - thanks for confirmation :-(

You know, I wanted to buy a cheap 626 and install this ROM:

http://harryaxten.altervista.org/tr626expansion.html

So I would have a couple of drum sets available on one drum machine, without the need to buy a sampler...
What would you suggest as an alternative?

Re: Roland TR-505 vs TR-626

I know it's an old thread, but: is the TR-626 good for live jam? I mean, do you need to stop/start the sequencer to move from edit to play mode?
I love my TR-606 because I never have to stop it while jamming... would love the 626 too if it'd work the same way!

Thanks in advance!

Re: J-Wire contact cleaning

I clean the contact rails on synths all the time, and I use a soft white pencil eraser (NOT an abrasive ink eraser). I avoid anything that is abrasive including polishes, as the plating is very thin, and sanding it off will fix the problem beautifully by exposing bare base metal, but it will oxidis...

Re: Studio Electronics ATC-1 vs. ATC-X vs. ATC-Xi

Hi there. I know I am resurrecting a very old thread... anyway: I got myself last year an ATC-1 with Moog filter cartridge. I haven't had much time to play with it, but I really do enjoy the sounds I played with, very powerful and deep (basses), but also very clean leads! Now I saw an ad of an ATC-X...

Re: Oberheim Matrix 1000 Control/Editing

There is also a new programmer available for several synthesizers. Check: http://www.stereoping-shop.com/de/synth-controller/ Hi Explorer - not "new" per se, those controllers are already well-known... anyway, not quite "cheap" as well as being DIY kits... Also, a very good hardware programmer is K...
