Re: How to DIY repaint a synth (w/ mask, writings...)

I think CustomSynth might have used a laminate overlay deal instead of painting proper... Yeah, probably easier when there's so many details and different colors. Screenprinting is one color per screen, no? Anyway, looks absolutely stunning... still way over my budget, though. Sending to and from t...

Re: Versatile, warm analogue polysynths?

Don't forget SCI MultiTrak or SixTrak (or even MAX, as I use - upgraded with the Tauntek mod: http://tauntek.com/SCIMax.htm) - at least the MultiTrak is still somewhat underrated (but also quite rare) and can often be found in the cheap. Just use a good midi controller or some software and you can g...

Re: How to DIY repaint a synth (w/ mask, writings...)

I'v done a fair bit of decorating synths etc - I'v got pics on my facebook page (Tom Cadillac) if you want to check things out. But this probably wouldn't suit something classic. You can get some nice ink pens from model shops. Also sharpies are good in silver and gold. Stickers are good also and t...

Re: How to DIY repaint a synth (w/ mask, writings...)

Has anyone - Chummy, Ashe37 or sandwich - gone through with this? If so, how did it work out? I'm thinking of doing the same with a Sequential MAX I've bought from ebay... It works great, but one of the side panels are cracked. And then there's the basic look of the Sequential Max... Probably one of...

Re: Sequential Max doesn't respond to MIDI controller

Hahaha... that was it. Worked like a charm, thanks! I thought I'd read that parameter changes were enabled by default.

Sequential Max doesn't respond to MIDI controller

Hi Vintage Synth I've recently acquired a Behringer BCR-2000 MIDI controller in order to control the parameters of my SCI Max hands on. I've read both manuals and followed the instructions: I've set up the BCR-2000 to send MIDI to the SCI Max and made sure the rotary knobs of the BCR-2000 and the SC...

Replacement power supply for SCI Max?

Hi I've recently bought a Sequential Circuits Max from eBay. The thing is, it requires a 8VAC, 800ma adaptor that I simply can't find. I tried putting my adapter for my guitar pedals into it (without the power turned on) and it fits, but is the wrong current and voltage. I'm not enough into electron...

Crumar Trilogy

Hi Vintage Synth I've been offered to buy a Crumar Trilogy for approx 150 dollars. I'm not exactly a synth tech, but I'm learning - currently restoring a Sequential Max. I've always dreamed of owning a vintage string machine but I'm on a tight budget. From what I've heard, I absolutely love the soun...
