Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

There's no "up" on JD-990 though :P

Could've just used a triangle icon, which is also implied on JD-990's silkscreen, above the slots (and official cards have that triangle, too). :)

Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

I got my card! I actually inserted it the wrong way the first few times (it said "Data card not ready" and didn't want to format at all). I had to break out the JD-990 manual to see that "Improper data card" error shows when an unformatted card is inserted. So I turned it the other way around (caref...

After these 20 cards, do you have an estimate when the next batch might be done? I'm pretty sure the demand for these is much larger than just 20 pieces... (I'm also pretty sure I won't be able to get one from this first batch, as I have a baby arriving next month...)

Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

I am definitely interested in one card with 16 banks for my JD-990! :)

Re: KAWAI K5000 Cool Blue LCD!

Got a reply from the guy doing the display change. It was FS all along. I quote: "added 1kOhm resistor to pin 19 (FS) and +5V".

Happy days! :)

Re: KAWAI K5000 Cool Blue LCD!

Lucky for you I just happened to pass by ;) Lucky me! :D Hi Mario, A stretched image with gaps is usually due to the FS (Font Selection) being in the wrong mode. Any other anomaly with the image will require a picture so I can see whats going on. Yep, as Dan said I would bet you didn't connect the ...

Re: KAWAI K5000 Cool Blue LCD!

I just replaced my dying original LCD by a "blackline" double FSTN LCD (blackline is the new cool blue) which I got there, very nice displays: http://www.artronic.com.pl/o_produkcie.php?id=775 (this guy has an eBay store - in english :) ), and it required zero modification (all pins connected).
