Why instagram? What's with the super short clips? Seems an odd approach to be honest. Some interesting sounds going on, but would rather hear complete compositions.
I'm waiting on artwork for the Release of the songs. I'll load it to other formats, from there.

Re: Ensoniq EPS issue

You are speaking beyond my level but, having had these machines apart many times. I know that the two circuit boards in the keyboard assembly(in the earlier versions) are connected buy tiny little wires that often break at the connection. Caused me a lot of problems

Re: How to classify my music?

Personally, I wouldn't worry about a "category". If someone/site needs to classify your work, I'd say electronic realizations or experimental. Btw, I listened to many of the pieces at your Instagram page. Just a comment: I wasn't happy that there was no progress bar or playback controls. Just a tho...

Re: Best workstation for live gigs?

Portland Craigslist has a K2600($1100), M3 ($800) & a Kronos ($1400), right now. I'd love to have all of them but, Kronos at that price would be the pound for pound winner by a long way.

Re: Best workstation for live gigs?

Age has everything to do with it. Old machines tend to be a little more fragile, just because they are older. Whats your budget? I've seen Kronos used for less than $1500, locally. Roland Fantom seems to sell fairly reasonably, used. I think, If I had to go out on tour next week, I'd look for a Kron...

Re: Synths and burnout

@Hyde: I'd be happy to hear your stuff! There's so much attention given to certain artists these days, that I actually enjoy listening to stuff made by just normal people.. like me. :) @Meatballfulton: Perhaps it's just me. I think softsynths can sometimes be stressful to work with, especially when...

Re: Synths and burnout

I burned out on electronic music in 2015. I was running along with a slew of other synthwave artists that were just sort starting out. Was involved with a label and went for lots of comps. I had been writing 80s inspired music for years prior so I always felt, well, I guess I'm synthwave. Anyways, ...

Re: How to classify my music?

Thanks. Yeah, I'll post some stuff when get some final details pulled together. "Industrial Rock" is on the list. It just seems so ambiguous. Maybe not even defined enough to cover anything/anyone specific. Seems that NIN seem to have broken free of most Industrial constraints while elevating to Sup...

How to classify my music?

Advice? With all of the Classifications of music these days & a desire to place what I do into a category, to meet search criteria, I'm a bit lost. I'm about to release a small group of songs. I describe it as Nine Inch Nails meets Ministry meets Portishead. Probably in that order, though it sounds ...

Re: Ensoniq EPS "disc not formatted" error

Yeah, I'll second the ribbon cable. Since you pulled the drive, replaced it, then put the old one back. It's likely the cable is bad or the contact points needed to be cleaned. Great that it's working! Such a great sampler

Re: Decent amp for a beginner?

Are you playing in the bedroom? or in a band rehearsal situation? What type of music? I have a really nice clone tube amp that rarely gets used in the house. Sounds amazing & is pretty loud from the getgo. For the house, I have a cheap little Fender Frontman 10g. It sounds pretty decent, clean. It h...

Re: Ensoniq ASR-X Sequencing Question

Sounds to me like they used the ASR10 as the computer/sequencer. They midi'd the sp1200,ASRx & Trident. It's pretty vague but, I'd guess the 909 & Rhodes were probably samples that were in the ASRX or ASR. The air has 8 channels that can run Simultaneously so, It makes a pretty decent controller/seq...

Re: Good MIDI Keyboard for Hardware?

The Ensoniq EPS16 & ASR10 samplers make good controllers & have the option of onboard sampling & sounds, effects, as well. Same with EPS Classic(no effects, though) Really depends on how you want to set up & work in your studio
