A couple of points: Your notes play back all at once because you're just dumping the file back over MIDI. When you recorded it, the command just kept adding to the file. When you play it back, there's no timing, so it just goes out as fast as it can. MIDI recorders also timestamp the incoming data. ...

Bought an old parallel MOTU MIDI Express and JL Cooper MSB Rev. II from BlackGnosis. Smooth transaction, accurate descriptions, etc. etc.

And even though he didn't promise that the Cooper unit would work (it was buncled with the MOTU), it does!

Why yes, yes I do! Helping out someone else isn't bad for a first post, now, is it? The Proteus 1/2/3 use the same power (and are the same other than ROM -- that Proteus 3 is pretty rare). I don't think the XR models are any different, other than the expanded memory. The power is on a 6-pin connecto...
