Evolver Sequencer start/stop by another Sequencer

Hello all, with my MC-50 mkII, is it possible to determine when you want to send start/stop to the internal sequencer of the Evolver? Or anything with its own internal sequencer, like a volca bass, etc. Let's say I want the Evolver's sequencer to start at the 25th measure of a song, and stop at the ...

Re: Cables...

I bought a bunch of cables. Hosa unbalanced 1/4-1/4 TS patch cables (8 pack) (CPP-890) Hosa unbalanced 1/8-1/4 TS (for MFB Nanozwerg) (CMP-305) Hosa stereo 1/8-1/4 TRS (for Volca Beats and Volca Beats) (CMS-103) The results: The 8 pack is a total failure. None worked. With anything. 606, 707, BS2, E...

madtheory - So one TS cable from Mackie Aux send into Microverb input. And one TS cable from Microverb output to stereo return of the Mackie? Is that correct?

Re: Cables...

Thanks a lot meatball. The last part, about CD back into mixer, is that necessary if I'm just using headphones to listen? (no monitor system). As for the Microverb, it has L/R inputs and L/R outputs. Do I need to connect both into the mixer? What do I connect it to on the mixer? Stereo Returns? Aux ...

Re: Cables...

just to confirm, TRS = balanced, TS = unbalanced? And, a specific question: The MFB Nanozwerg, when I plug my headphones in and listen, only produces sound on the Left side. I assume this mean it is outputting a mono signal. The Bass Station II also outputs a mono signal, but it can be heard normall...

Cables...

Hello. I have several questions regarding cables. I am a beginner with all of this stuff so bear with me. The goal is to connect various synthesizers/drum machines and an Alesis Microverb II to a Mackie 1604-VLZ3 mixer, then connect the mixer into a Tascam CD-RW2000 recorder (for recording). The syn...

Re: Doepfer MSY2

pflosi, or anyone else, do you have any experience with Touchprone Midi/DinSync Converters? I've found some on ebay that go for much cheaper than the MSY2, and much much cheaper than the KMS 30. Any idea how they compare? would they do the same job I am after (slaving a 606 to my MIDI gear)?

Re: Roland MC-500 mkII

A very specific question ninja: with the 50/500/QX3, can you tie notes of different pitches together via step sequencing? Say, you want to tie C3 and D4 together (I ask this very specific question, because if you sequence tied notes together with a Bass Station II and set the BS2 Triggering to "auto...

Re: Roland MC-500 mkII

Thanks for the response ninja. -You said the 50mkI needs to load each function from a disk. Did you mean the 500mkI? Was this a typo? -I will keep an eye out for the QX3. It seems very rare on ebay and reverb. -To clarify: The rhythm track of the 500mkII is not just for drums? It sequences pitch lik...

Roland MC-500 mkII

Just curious if the Roland MC-500 mkII sequencer can do note-by-note step sequencing (inputting chords as well). Really want a hardware sequencer that can step sequence and can be programmed to handle different time signatures. Have no interest in real time recording at all. The 500mkII and 50mkII s...

Re: Chaining mixers?

Thanks for all the responses. Yeah the idea was to buy a mixer I could afford, and if I wanted, have the option to add channels (via another mixer) in the future. Have it all connected directly to a recorder. Went with a 16 channel one, which will be fine for a long time. Good to know I can chain th...

Re: Doepfer MSY2

Thank you for the response pflosi. I have been reading about other options such as Korg KMS-30 and Roland MSQ-100/700. The KMS-30 and MSQ-100 go for just a bit more than the MSY2, but the 700 goes twice the price. As far as you, or anyone knows, which of these has the best timing? or is the differen...

Doepfer MSY2

Hello, I want to be able to use my TR-606 (my only piece of DIN Sync gear) with all my MIDI gear, as a slave (tempo, start/stop, etc) Does the Doepfer MSY2 make this happen? Just making sure, because it says MIDI-to-Sync converter, so I am just not sure if that means the 606 then must act as the mas...
