It looks like the ASR10 maxes out at 16 mb of RAM. The K2000 vp can go to 64 MB and SCSI is standard. I plan on installing a SCSI2SD card in my K2000 vp and that should give it 4 virtual drives of 2 GB each of storage. The Kurzweil certainly wins in the ram side of things. How did that work for you...

rattling my brain to remember - what else besides oasys and the dx programmer has offered a fully exploitable FM interface? EX5 or SY77/99? Oh yeah, no native FM on EX5. So probably the SY/TG (but I would not call that "fully exploitable"). Add also Nord Lead 3. What about the Yamaha DX7 expansion ...

The Kurzweil's algorithms and functions approach to synthesis is decades ahead of the wavestation's wavetable + sample-based synthesis. I've owned a Wavestation SR and still occasionally use the AU version of the Wavestation, but the Kurzweil is so much more powerful (I own a K2500XS) that I recentl...
