Re: Ensoniq VFX SD Patches, Presets, Sounds, Cartridges & Di

No, I'm sorry... Hi SerialSinger I have a VFX SD and i wish to know if you have those files as iso image directly from the floppy. Like this i can copy directly the ISO file on a floppy disk and then on a VFX-SD Floppy drive ? Thanks Sorry to revive this old post, but I think it's worthwhile: I want...

Re: Looking for Korg A1 firmware dump

Thanks for the additional suggestion! I'm considering another solution by building an "adapter" using two DIP sockets (that I already have), one above the other, bending the "wrong" pins on the upper one and rewiring them to the lower one; then I put the EPROM on the upper socket and place the full ...

Re: Looking for Lexicon MPX-1 v1.1 firmware!

So what's exactly lacking with 1.0? What does 1.1 have to make it worth having? Better audio performance, more algorithms, less bugs, a brighter display? Stephen All the changes are described in a document which can be downloaded from this link: https://lexiconpro.com/en-US/support_downloads/produc...

Re: Ensoniq VFX SD Patches, Presets, Sounds, Cartridges & Di

Sorry to revive this old post, but I think it's worthwhile: I want to share four banks with correct contents, i.e. with no empty program locations. These banks are: VPC-103 IPC-1 VSD1000B VSD1000D All banks should be fully compatible from base model VFX to SD1. Enjoy! https://www.dropbox.com/s/f1t3q...

Re: Looking for Korg A1 firmware dump

Many thanks for the hint! At the moment I would postpone the pins bending job, but I will take note of that; I was hoping to find someone who already has the dump, because I just wish to have a backup ready to be used just in case. Well... "ready to be used" is not the right sentence, due to that pi...

Looking for Korg A1 firmware dump

Hello all, and sorry to post this again because it was erroneously put in a wrong section... :? I recently acquired a really nice Korg A1 effects processor, and I discovered that the EPROM chip of its operating system is a "weird one", at least for the only EPROM reader/burner I usually have ...

WANTED: Korg A1 firmware

Hello all! I just acquired a really nice Korg A1 effects processor, and I discovered that the EPROM chip of its operating system is a "weird one", at least for the only EPROM reader/burner I usually have access to (owned by a friend of mine). The chip is a Fujitsu MBM27C1000, apparently very similar...

Re: Sony DPS-M7 & DPS-F7, and other double-personality devic

Also i remember a friend who had newer R7 asked me where is that cool Sony DRE preset? He couldn't find it in my unit which made me suspect that perhaps Sony at one point shipped R7 is another set of User presets and that he had that preset. I will visit a studio where that R7 landed and will exami...

Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

While it is of course likely that similar technology is being used, the pins look very different from Roland cards. Of course you can try building a replacement but I doubt it's within the scope of this project. Absolutely, that's why I talked about an "adaptor": I'd need a "Roland female to Korg m...

Re: Custom-built multi-bank Roland M-256/M-512 memory cards

While I wait for the official release of this memory card, I dreamed an extension of it: an adaptor for using it on Korg instruments (01R/W and Prophecy, in my case) as a replacement for SRC-512 cards... I just have discovered that I have a defective SRC-512. Sigh! I may obtain the slot pinout of th...
