Doepfer A190-1 MIDI-CV not working correctly
I've had the A190-1 for a few years and it's always worked fine before, usually send MIDI to it from a pedalboard. So I was experimenting with getting the sequencer on my Prophet 6 to talk to it as I'd just downloaded the OS update for the P6... after about 5 minutes the A190-1 stops sending Gate or...

Anyone got a manual for Analogue Systems TH48?
Picked this sequencer up used a few years ago, great unit but there's a few features I can never quite manage to get the result I'd expect with. Tried emailing Analogue Systems a couple of tmes in the past and never got a reply, it's not on their website as a download that I can see, may just be too...

Manikin Memotron won't boot
It's been slow to boot for a while and I'd just kind of got used to waiting a minute or so for it to come round as it was working fine after that. Now powers up fine but stays at the Memotron v1.3 screen indefinitely, tried the 'hardware reset' a couple of times, left it for a few hours, just stuck ...

You've picked a very dangerous bit of kit to be circuit bending there.
The DC high tension voltage on the valve/tube heaters is the last thing you want to tangle with.

Smart... I'm surprised no-one is already offering a version of it, really was particularly sweet.

Does anyone do a SH-5 filter clone for Eurorack
Just wondering, it feels like one of those things that someone could do well making... can't think that anyone is though.

Re: DSI Announces New REV2 16-Voice Analog Poly Synth!
I'm suffering from Analogue fatigue at the moment - Too much of the same old. I'm after something that's going to slap me in the face and scream "WAKE UP"... Even if it's digital - GASP! I know what you mean, it does seem to have led to a serious lack of innovation, and not even different manufactu...

Song from Cymbeline
Bit of an idea thing I had, Shakespeare's Song from Cymbeline set to Ramin Djawadi's 'Dr Ford'.

Much the same, it's very nice but I can't get on with Waldorf either.Hybrid88 wrote:Yes touchscreen! Finally. Love the design and features but just never been into the Waldorf sound and this is no different. Nice synth though.

Twisted Electrons AY-3 Demos
Couple of quick and dirty demos of this synth which I got back from Twisted Electrons after repairs last week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gPDkMMGtxE&lc=z12mchxjvwuqttzo404cczuxwynastcig5w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvYawIGkv64 Earlier demo I did, definitely sounds better in stereo with th...

Re: Twisted Electrons AY-3 Woes
This is now resolved, I sent the unit back to Alex in France who found a fault in the MIDI circuit and repaired it.
Top customer support there, even offered to cover my postage costs. If only all manufacturers were like this.

Re: Radikal Technologies Accelerator pad
Sounding good, Accelertor is one of the few modern synths that really has an 'Oooooo' factor for me ie it makes me go 'Ooooo' when I hear it lol not that it does good 'Oooo' type sounds, although that's always a plus.
Have come close to pulling the trigger on this once or twice.

Very quick demo here that I managed to knock off in a rare moment when my AY-3 was working, before it gave up the ghost entirely:

Re: Twisted Electrons AY-3 Woes
Yeah, I've done a few tests and eliminated obvious issues like a fault with the non-standard midi cable (i think) - it gets a bit comple as the replacement I bought may not have the correct pin configuration, and the socket adapter the seller shipped from new with was unfit for purpose, so they coul...
