Recommendation for audio interface with multiple synths.

I am curious what audio interface most of you guys use for your synths? I am thinking of getting an audio interface and was wondering what you'd recommend? I am looking for an interface that has great sound quality with atleast 8 inputs (mic inputs don't matter to much). Leaning a lot towards the si...

Synth memory glitches? (Not dead battery)

One day I turned on my Juno 106 and came across all the patches sounding weird and different to the ones I saved. I could notice some of the sound of the one I saved but sometimes the attack was really long or short or the LFO really intense on it. The battery is still good and the weird patches are...

Re: Still possible to get a Juno 60 for a good deal?

Thanks for the input guys; though I do have a few polysynths, I will always be on the lookout for a Juno 60 for a great price if one ever comes. Maybe I should get into more monosynths and VCO based synths. 400-500 in Japan? I'm not sure I believe that at first. Where do you find them for those pric...

Still possible to get a Juno 60 for a good deal?

Hey guys, I was wondering if in today it is still possible to get a Juno 60 for a good price ($1200 or less) and has anyone had any luck? Where would you look for one for a good price?

Thanks,

Re: What's a good price for a Sequential Circuits Drumtraks?

It's a cool vintage drum machine which has your 80's sample drum sounds, checking around I think I wouldn't pay over $500-600 for one in good condition. But at the rate of increasing prices for vintage gear that might not be the most realistic. It has some cool features like tuning every drum but do...

Re: Newbie with question

Check out the cheaper analog synths by Korg, like the Monologue or Minilogue if you want 4 note polyphony. You seem pretty set on the sub phatty, so just get it, it tends to keep it's value if you end up ditching it. I second that, the Minilogue is a great starter synth because it has a good analog...

Re: P Lion's synth?

For Happy Children I would have to say Jupiter 8 because that's the synth that he is playing in the video? But I could almost say Juno 106 since the brass line sounds just like factory patch A11 with a slightly longer attack. And factory patch A75 sounds just like the bell sound and plays harmonies ...

Re: Digital Rackmount Synth with Analog Sound/Modelling?

Not sure if this would help but the 1990's Kurzweil K-Series (K2000, K2500, K2600) rackmount models had a great selection of digital sounds and great reproductions of classic analog synth sounds, though is a little harder to understand the programming (They use VAST). I own the K2000 and think it is...

What's a good price for a Sequential Circuits Drumtraks?

Hello, I recently found some interest in the Sequential Circuits Drumtraks and was wondering what would be a reasonable price for one as of now? Are these drum machines worth owning? How do they compare to other drum machines such as the Linndrum, DMX, etc?

Thanks

Re: Analog synths without PWM: Why?

From what I know all the JX series synths are both two oscillators but have no PWM, same with the Poly800 also two oscillator. I know the Jupiter 8, Prophet 5, and OB series of synths all have PWM.

Analog synths without PWM: Why?

Some analog synths were made without PWM such as Roland JX-3P, JX-8P, Korg Poly 800, DW-8000 and 6000 (Hybrids). But Why?

Hear this beautiful PWM sound on this 80's song

At the song at 10:16 listen through and you'll hear the beautiful sounding PWM sound that sounds very detuned and VCO like. It is an old French/Vietnamese love/pop song. What synth do you thing it is? It kind be created on almost any analog synth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmlgV5z0jPA&index=3&...

Re: Korg Polysix Wood Case DIY

Probably won't buy because it would probably be cheaper and more rewarding to buy some wood and cut, drill, and stain be yourself. No one has made a hard wood polysix case by themselves on VSE?

Korg Polysix Wood Case DIY

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you have ever built your own hardwood case for a Korg Polysix; what dimensions are the wood pieces to be cut to and where would the drill holes be for boards, key assembly, fuse, etc, go? Any wood to recommend or tools needed?

Thanks,
-Nathan

Re: $200 Juno 106 Worth It?

$200 for a Juno 106? That is a good deal with or without all working voice chips, you could even talk the price down with him! The voice chips are a repair job one can do by themselves if they are handy with a soldering iron and following the directions of it. Take them while they are still there. Y...
