Re: Korg M1
You probably need to change the op-amp nearest to the dead jack socket. I've had to do this with Kurzweils. Agree PSU should be recapped in something this age.

Re: Synth Defects - Ticking Time Bombs
Yamaha DX7 arc suppression capacitor meltdown. Apologies if this has been covered already, I did try searching it. Yesterday I added a MK1 DX7 to the stable. It came with a faulty on/off switch that wouldn't turn off. Within 10 minutes there was an awful smell and on opening the lid I found that the...

Re: Universal Adapter Key / Tool out there?
I think that the pin sizing is voltage related, not current related. I think the most dangerous thing is likely reversing the polarity. I agree the current rating of a psu is more cost driven than anything. I have a 1amp genuine 9v Boss PSA adapter that I chain several fx pedals off in my home studi...

Moog Polymoog Poly-M Synth VST
Has anyone tried out this new release? I will try and download the demo today. Having never owned a real Polymoog I'm after Abba-esque strings for example on "Eagle". I was told that the bulk of Benny Andersson's synth work was done on a Poly and a Mini up until he acquired his GX-1 in 1979. The clo...

Re: Kurzweil K2000: Original sounds or VP/VX sounds(K2500 So
I think that they are downloadable from Kurzweil's site under legacy keyboards. On my K2000's I had P/RAM so I could have all three sound sets on there together.
Now I have a K2600XS and I still have the original K2000 patches loaded in there for nostalgia.

If you like the Hammond Chord organ, google the Hammond Novachord - one of the most fascinating non-tonewheel Hammonds out there!

Re: Question about this Floyd synth
To reply to the original poster, the sound on the Division Bell/Endless River is a Farfisa Compact Duo. What you do is set the tremolo rate to 8 oclock and the repeat percussion rate to about 11 oclock and turn them on together and that gives you that sound. An MXR delay system II was used in place ...
