Re: Is there such a thing as too many soft synths?

Thanks for your answers, folks! Granted, I find that I use some more for experimentation rather than actual production, but it's still fun to see what they can do. Is there such a thing as too many soft synths?

I remember getting Hermann Seib's PPG WaveSim plugin back in September 2017, and since then, I've downloaded a total of 38 software synthesizers. I was wondering, do you synth-heads think that's too many? Personally, I don't, mainly because I like finding different ways to re-create the vintage anal...

Re: KORG MS-20 - Normandy March (Ambient)

I have absolutely NO criticisms for this track! You did a nice job capturing the feel of travelling on a Higgins boat, heading towards some sort of inevitability.

Re: Synth Album made Entirely On Audacity

From a compositional standpoint, I'd say you have a clear vision of what you want to achieve, and you achieve it quite well. From a technical standpoint, it could use a little more work, particularly in regards to the instruments being more in tune. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it, and I highly encourage...

Re: Can anyone recommend me some free VSTs?

There's tons of 'em at K Brown's Synth Plugins. Not all of 'em have custom oscillators, but a few do: https://kbrownsynthplugins.weebly.com/ Also, if you're into PPGs, I HIGHLY recommend Hermann Seib's PPG WaveSim: http://hermannseib.com/english/synths/ppg/wavesim.htm Dutch electronic musician Meesh...
