Build big wood consoles and run all the cables inside them to the rack units, from underneath the floor....

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

This thread made me return from my years-long forum hiatus. It's been nice. Although my user account had disappeared. Whoever is left that remembers me, hello again :) To anyone who don't, I was here in the early days. I am the mass market. I WANT this synth. But alas, my local store still didn't g...

Re: how do imagine VSE's members

Any good synth freaks forum should have a permanent off topic where to ventilate stress. I remember "Aka the Sig Wars" on Futureproducers, somebody opened a thread asking if somebody with photoshop skills could make him a banner for his signature. A few months later, the thread had more than 1000 p...

Re: how do imagine VSE's members

Yeah I normally screw it t from time to time on my social life with my "out-of-records" comments, (happens one or two times per week), so honestly I hesitated to post a thread like this. .....never thought it could be one the funniest thread I have read here, and more than 100 replies in 3 days you...

Re: Balma's happiest hot tracks 2005-2008

i'm not going to attempt to quote that, you're sort of right with the whole american unpopularity thing. i'm the only person i know who is actually interested in trance/ techno/ goa/ w/e enough to pursue collecting vinyl, or getting a nice collection of historical tracks. i will say that for ...

Re: Balma's happiest hot tracks 2005-2008

Hades, You know here in middle america, the stuff that Europe is tired to listen and dance since 3 years ago, is new stuff here. The tracks are musically good, but the do not have a modern, or dark sound. I have compiled almost 120 songs I have made on the last decade, and most of them, despite bei...

that pretty much sums it up.
you've been great at sequencing for years,
but I'm glad your sound palette and style has changed the last half year or so.
no more cheeziness nowadays ! ;)

Re: hi again. has everyone gone a little soft

ah, technomonster is still around. some things never change ! :D hard or soft. I'm always looking for the best tool to do the job. (best usually means a mix between most practical and best sounding) in my opinion this means hardware when it comes to analog synths (and for a few other synths that are...

Re: Andromeda tips & tricks thread

thx !
I've just ordered it.
that was probably the most expensive data storage item I'll ever buy.
I mean jeez, over 100€ for 2MB !
thank god it's sysex and doesn't take up much space.
how many patches (and/or banks) can one store on one 2MB card ? you got any idea ?

Re: Andromeda tips & tricks thread

just a question guys.
where could I still find PCMCIA SRAM cards type I, to use with the andy for storage ? (in Europe)
seems like it's quite hard to find these.
and I would prefer to use a few cards for backing up and bank swapping instead of having to do sysex dumps to the laptop.

thx

Re: OSC beating - Andromeda VCO vs DCO

I gotta say I was pretty amazed by the tips and tricks book at wohmart.com though a bit sloppy thrown together (or at least that's how it looks to me after a quick glance, I've only had my andy for a week), it goes amazingly indepth at programming. there's not enough stuff like that out there. anoth...
