I don't know what synths were used in Digital Dream but Laserdance used a Juno-106, Polysix, Ob-xa (i think) and also lots of Emax library samples during that time. Later an MKS-70 and M1 were often used. For vocoders, Korg DVP-1.

Thanks for the heads up. I have used Waldorf's PPG VSTi a lot and think it's great. WaveSim's GUI is much worse but the sound is wonderful - Waldorf sounds much more cleaner. Unfortunately I have never had a chance to play the original PPG 2.2/2.3 but this WaveSim surely has some character. I get th...

Well, at least GMedia/GForce synths. Also Creamware although they haven't made any native plugins. I'd like to try WayOutWare's Arp2600 emulation and see how it compares to Arturia's.

I'm also surprised too see that. Roland was always very strict about softsynth creations.

I'm not so sure if it's good that Arturia is the developer of a soft JP8 though. Their softsynths are good but not the best in the industry. Probably this will also require a dongle to work.
