Re: Nik Kershaw synths

Great, OP8 definitely has the preset so. That's a great interview with Nik, he's a funny guy :) https://web.archive.org/web/20090821210633/http://www.nikkershaw.co.uk/drum-talk.asp Ah nice. According to Wikipedia:

"In Kershaw's version, the synth tune was produced with an Oberheim OB-8 played by Paul Wickens (Wix).[4]"

Exactly. Sorry it wasn't meant as a random criticism, or to pedantic. I thought that would've been ...

Although he plays it on Juno-60 in this video live:

It's not live, that's lip sync.
Ok whats your point? It might be playback just thought it looked like a live preformance.
Sorry for my misstake then.

Re: Nik Kershaw synths

The synth lead in "I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" is a Prophet-5 though. Personally knowing Nik and his band members during that period, I would like to correct a few errors on this post. On the first album the synths used on the album were a Juno 60, Obreheim OB-Xa, Yamaha DX7, Roland TR808, t...
