Chorus (guitarpedals) for pads etc
Hello there I have always been a fan of that vibe of the Juno (6, 60 and 106) chorus polysounds. Several times I have thought about getting a Juno just for that reason. But then Again I have a couple of synths that should make a fine base for pads. Then I just need the Chorus. I have read about chor...

Is this a D50 preset?
Ok something got me thinking. I love this track Fallout - The Morning After Wel I don't have to mention that the drums are from an 808. I did some research and apparently The bass is from a Casio CZ-101 and a D50 should have been used aswell. The flute/bottleblowing sound is from the D50. I found th...

Uppsala Analogue Synthesizer Symphonic Orchestra
I don't remember if this has ever been posted in here before... I couldn't find anything with the search function. I was re-listening to some Raiders Of The Lost ARP and I came across this again. It is crazy how most synths, especially vintage gear always had to emulate Classic instruments. Factory ...

Yes, the Obie 2-voice is briefly seen behind Perrier at 53:51: https://youtu.be/uTyAtn177zo?t=3231 Not sure why it wasn't included in the equipment list for the Concert in China album. According to the following site it was used for the Laser harp sound http://www.jarrography.free.fr/details_equipe...

Re: The Magnetic Fields bass
The answer might be out there somewhere on the fanbase. Actually there are people spending hours replicating and analyzing the music of Jean Michel Jarre, testing and picking out the actual synths used. I did a quick search on the zoolook.nl forum, however I did not find anything on this particular ...

Re: troutman dx100 patches
And since he apparently also used the minimoog at some times, probably any synth would be useful for that troutman sound.

Re: "Retro" knobs for Korg EMX
You posted on the Electribe site, too. On the first page of that thread. you'll find the diameter of the EMX shafts is .236. Use that for any seller site you find and you'll be good to go. http://electribe-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1708 If you don't mind the knobs you've got but want to change ...

"Retro" knobs for Korg EMX
Hello I always thought my Korg EMX was so terribly ugly, and sometimes I feel like it kills my creativity. I ordered an overlay in Black with White text from styleflip. Then I found this picyure of a cutomized ESX, where the knobs have been replaced by some more classic looking knobs. However pods a...

Re: SH-201 Question
Update: In addition, I found a Roland demo video where they specifically state that the SH-201's analog modeling is heritage from the V-Synth. So it seems quite clear to me that the SH-201 does not have sample-based oscillators. I indeed remember this to be mentioned several Places at the time of r...

Re: MS-20 legato
Thanks a lot for the feedback and those articles were really great. It does makes me understand a bit more about how this works. The Minimoog is mentioned to lack this trigger function as well, and should behave in the same way. I found a piece of music from a Danish film soundtrack from 1978. The s...

Re: MS-20 legato
Yes it is indeed that the envelopes will not retrigger. Good to know when it comes to sequencers. It just bothers me when playing soft lead sounds on it. Im used to more modern synths with legato switches.

MS-20 legato
Being a long time since i programmed synths, I might have lost some experience. I have problems with my ms 20 mini. It seems to play in legato mode. Is it somehow possible to come across the legato mode? It really kills the sound when playing a solo sound with long atack and shirt decay and release....

Re: strings/pads
It's been a while since I warched Scarface, but I remember the in movie version of Gina's theme as using very similar sound patches as the Lady, Lady track. It would not surprise me if it was sylvester playing. Still Arthur could just as well just turn on tje exact same Jupiter and play the patches....

strings/pads
Hello there i had a re-listen to some 80's Moroder projects. I stumbled across the following dreamy pad. This particular Im talking about can be heard in the Scarface film. When Tony visits his mother and sister, this padsound is used on the Gina theme. I tell myself that the same padsound was ued o...
