Re: New SID Synth: TherapSid
Nice. I've still got about 10 of the MOS6581 and 25 of the MOS6582 (the best parts of the 6581 and the 8150) lying around somewhere from an old midibox Sid bulk order. I may have to pick one of these up.

Re: The factory preset conundrum
I really don't get this thread :dontknow: Is it the direction of the THREAD you do not get? Or the original question? Because the thread has gone way off topic. My intention was simply to spark a debate about why it seems presets fall short of truly showcasing a synth's most unique features. I alwa...

Glad I'm not the only one growing tired of his elitist, know-it-all responses to anyone with a different opinion than his own.

The factory preset conundrum
I have noticed a pattern, where the vast majority of complaints about a synth's sound are typically followed by comments such as: "Have you dug into the synth's programming to tweak and get the most out of it?" "Are you just using the presets? The presets suck. You really need to learn the instrumen...

Re: How to make a bass sound like this?
It also sounds like a preset on the OSCar, which is also on the impOSCar softsynth. It's actually the first preset here:
They made it a pad on the softsynth since it polyphonic, but on the original, it was used as a mono bass/lead.

Re: I Dream of Wires
Its become apparent that AG is the guy who shows you his trophy case and brags about all of his college degrees as soon as you walk in his house. The guy with the license plates that no-so-humbly read "Doctor". Pretty funny though to see a guy so h**l bent on winning a "my d**k's bigger than yours" ...

I would say that this thing being halfway down on page 2 already is probably not a good sign for DSI.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
Heard from the store today, they said good news and bad news. It won't be arriving until 10th July :( The good news was that he'd been to a testing session with a guy from Arturia, and it delivered the goods and then some, totally worth the wait. so 10th July is for sure? no more delays? my local s...

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
A.G., After viewing your videos, I became curious: Are you a paid spokesperson for Arturia and the Minibrute? I apologize if this was covered, but I didn't see a mention of it. I think it's always good to have transparency on the topic if that does happen to be the case. Thanks. Its called a 'revie...
